The Roof's replaced the Hurst shifter originally delivered in the Deuce with a Hurst "Competition Plus" ..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

Jason,

I suppose the car could have been a time capsule with all of the great day-two items through out. However, the car was repainted once and the underside was painted white (as cool as that was back in the day https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif ).

Glad your enjoying the photos! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Door sills are in incredible condition. The Roofs were obviously careful about not letting the seat belt buckle get closed in the door. Not a ding to be found (that is a tar like substance on the sills in the photos).

I thought the white underside was part of a Yenko/Hurst conversion deal. She will look great restored.

[/ QUOTE ]Real nice Sam. Now don't send those door sills out to be polished. Do it yourself and save your money to buy us dinner at the SCR. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Hell, I get that look from the 1st lady all the time.
And it's to late. I sent the sills out for polish.

Re: Roof Deuce Restoration

That tar like substance is rubber compound from the good old McCreary Tire Factory where Earl worked once upon a time. By the way Sam and Schonye, the reverse lock out rod is still here and we also have the T-handle that we used on the shifter. It's actually the second one we bought since Earl stripped the threads on the first one.

Re: Roof Deuce Restoration

We were just talking about ordering a rod for that. I guess if you want, you could send it out to us, or let me know quietly and we'll charge Sam double, and split it with you. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif
