This one makes its appearance around here at times....

Color combos are probably a stretch for the freak definition but once in awhile you'll see the old Carolina Blue show up on something. How about on a '70 LS5 Convertible.

Also saw a nice '69 Judge recently claimed to be 1 of 1 with Matador Red ext and red int.

No one has mentioned the GSS Demons yet. Here is my 71 GSS. Not sure how many are made but I know of about 7 total '71 cars and maybe 10 '72 GSS Demons.

Beautiful Demon. Can you give us a rundown of what makes a GSS?

Not sure on Green SSJ original owner being a Packers fan, but he was a well-connected Pittsburgh-based lawyer looking for something different back in 1972. I suspect back then if you offered Hurst a little "extra", they would deviate from their standard white/gold or black/gold standard. It's also possible that Hurst was looking to improve sales by going to different colors...

Wasn't the GSS 340 Six Pack powered in 71 and single four barrel/supercharged in 72?

Thanks for the compliments guys.
What makes a GSS, well, the basics were an intake swap to the aluminum Edelbrock six pack intake with three 427 Corvette spec carbs, Milodon oil pump and some internal modifications like heavier valve springs. GSD also stuck on there home made snubber on the axle. That was probably about it for the basic package however, you could have any modification you wanted to pay for. I will try to link an advertisement. I've seen GSS Demons that were very plain, flat hood, bench seat, poverty cap wheel cars and others that were loaded. In 72, the 340 GSS was advertised as a Paxton supercharged car but I know of 4 72 GSS Demons that came with the six pack induction. Mr. Norm would sell what the customer wanted. My car has an Auto Meter tach strapped to the steering column. It is written in the paperwork when the car was ordered new. The customer didn't want the factory tach. Mine has been there since new.
I some day want to properly restore this car when time and $$ allow but for now, I drive it a little every summer with my two little girls and let them enjoy the feel and sound of a high revving 340 with 410 gears.
