judge 4spd convertible
 

I started hanging out with a new mopar guy in the neighborhood, and I find out he has a 4spd judge convertible.
what, if I may ask, are these cars worth? I am clueless on pontiacs.

Wow!! Rare as either one. What year? I think in 70 or 71, there were less than 20 Judge Convertibles.

You know I have a Judge Convertible too...or at least that's what the guy told me I bought it from. He owned it 10 years..I popped his bubble in ten Minutes..[What he had was a GTO convertible with $150 worth of decals....]

If it is a real car it is worth a bunch of money. Sadly, they are like 69 Z/28s - there are 10x more now, than there were originally built in 1969. Thankfully PHS has the paperwork to verify if it is a real one or a poser.

17 produced in 1971 all 455HO's.
108 in 1969 (only 5 RAIV ragtops built, all the rest ar RAIII).
168 in 1970 (only 18 or 19 RAIV and 3 455 ragtops built, all the rest are RAIII)

Properly restored with orignal parts, they are six-figure cars all day long. RAIV versions are whatever the market will bear. 1971 ragtops are way up there, too.

Kind of like the price variations in COPO cars when comparing a "restored" car versus a "correctly restored" car with original drivetrain and bulletproof paperwork.

Very rare to find a RAIV car with its original engine - they did not take kindly to being over-revved.

I just talked to him, he got it in 1980. he got it from a vietnam vet, who was getting a divorce, and he had to paint early on as the soon to be exwife threw a <span style="font-style: italic">tricycle</span> on it, and scratched it. It's a 70. Original interior, original drivetrain never touched, 50k miles, never any rust. I doubt its a ram air iv, so did not ask.

He said I can drive it in the spring, looking forward to it, its in storage now.

I had no idea they were worth that much. Looking at prices on cars on line now, they seem to hover at $200K asking for restored. Wow.

What color is it? Big value difference there depending on the color choice.

it's red. it sounds like it has some tan-ish interior. I try not to ask too much until I see it in person.

If it's a real Judge ragtop, yes, worth 6 figures if it's all there. Like Steve said, many Judges lost their original drivetrain, and there are a thousand or more Judge clones out there, many were done back in the 1980's and now look original today.

If it's red with a &quot;tan-ish&quot; interior, most likely a 1970. They didn't make any Cardinal Red with tan guts 1971 Judge ragtops. If it's a 1969, it would be very unusual if it's Matador Red with a Gold interior.
