Re: Jim's Feature Yenko
Jim neat story and pictures. How long did the original owner keep the car and is he still alive & well?

Re: Jim's Feature Yenko
The picture is of the previous owner, Jerry Buzkowski who had owned the car from approx. 1976 until our purchase in early '98. The original owner was a friend of his in Mishawaka Ind. This picture was taken at the Car Craft Nationals in '80 or '81. I happened to see Jerry at the auction this last week and heard more interesting info on the car. Apparently, the original owner pulled out the M21 and replaced it with a SuperT10. When Jerry bought the car, he knew where the original trans was (another friends Z28). He negotiated to replace his friends tranny with whatever he wanted in order to retrieve the original for the Yenko!! Thank goodness he was successful. Apparently the original owner immediately replaced the shocks with Monroes as well as the tach. However he kept the originals which Jerry was able to put back on the car. Re: Jim's Feature Yenko
Jim,
Do you know location of the show where the picture with Don was taken? What was Don doing at the show? Great picture and car. |
Re: Jim's Feature Yenko
Joe, not real sure. Was told it was the Car Craft Nationals. Brian seemed to recognize it when I showed him the picture a couple of years ago. I will ask Jerry the next time I talk to him. Jim

Re: Jim's Feature Yenko
The Car Craft Super Nationals in Indy about 80/81. I was there at the time. Yenko was there looking at some special Camaros that Bugler? Chevrolet had built...BKH

Re: Jim's Feature Yenko
Hubler Chev. on US 31 just south of Indy - they bought Nankivell Chev back in the mid '70s. Hubler had built some special edition Camaro's, similar to what Yenko and Mason were planning to do.
