Vintage Certification @ MCACN 2015
Vintage Certification is again proud and excited to be a part of the MCACN experience. This is a must attend event. Come Join Us and have your car Vintage Certified at MCACN Nov 21st & 22nd in Chicago
Vintage Certification™ is a judging program whose sole purpose is to recognize, provide status, provenance, and promote un-restored (survivor) vehicles. We believe it is the only program that focuses on documenting and benchmarking these cars. Our core certification team consists of Brett Merryman, Chris White, Alex Sahely, Frank Badalson, Roger Gibson, Steve Shauger and other marque specialists based on make and model. Each core team member possesses over 30 years experience as restorers, collectors, historians and judges in the hobby. Typically we spend 3hrs examining in detail every segment of your car including on a lift. To learn more about Vintage Certification visit our website at www.vintagecertification.com or the MCACN show at www.mcacn.com. This is the perfect venue to have your vehicle certified. You will be among and exclusive group of enthusiast who participate in this exciting event. We understand not every original car is 100% untouched, and we offer five levels of certification, based on the originality of the Vehicle. Vintage Certifications™ five divisions: Vintage Time Capsule - Vehicles that are 95+% unrestored in all reference areas Vintage Legend - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in all reference areas. Vintage Heritage - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in four reference areas. Vintage Legacy - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in three reference areas Vintage Reference - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in at least one reference area. Reference Areas: Certification consists of two areas of consideration, Originality and Preservation. Re: Vintage Certification @ MCACN 2015
I have to say that this years Vintage lineup for both certification and non judged display is one of the most diversified and interesting to date. Thanks to all of you who made the commitment to join us, and also to our Vintage Certification judging team for allowing us to once again, raise the bar.
For those of you who were too late, please sign up now for 2016, as we will certainly sell out well in advance again, and in order to maintain our judging standards, we must limit the amount of vehicles judged. Bashton MCACN Managing Member |

The Vintage team will be very busy this year certifying cars, but having cars like these participate makes it truly a special and rewarding event. There's no other event where you will get an opportunity to see so many unrestored cars on display and being certified. The last picture I will post is a 1970 Superbird. It's truly special car, come see for yourself at MCACN....

Re: Vintage Certification @ MCACN 2015
So many reasons to join us this year, November 21-22.
There is nothing like seeing it in person and meeting the owners and the enthusiasts that allow us to make this show a reality. Although it sometimes is hard to believe that what is actually under the roof of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center is really real and right there in front of you. Bashton MCACN Mananging Member |

Actually yes, as those who were at the show last year know. Mike Mancini and the American Muscle Car Restorations, Inc. crew out of Rhode Island, a MCACN Official Sponsor and a Sponsor of this site, had the Hemi Superbird that they Unveiled on display on a lift! Bashton |

Very pleased to announce Titan Lifts has stepped up to be our new Official Lift Company for the MCACN show. This year you will see TWO lifts in the Vintage Certification area, allowing us once again to "raise the bar" to provide the best possible experience for our participants and our spectators.
Special thanks go out to Rick Fox from Titan who made this happen. Please check out the Titan Lifts webpage and buy some lifts from them! www.titanlifts.com Thanks Titan Lifts!! |

Re: Vintage Certification @ MCACN 2015
We have some neat things in store for the Vintage Certification program for 2016 in our ongoing quest to continue to improve the show.
If you are interested in participating, please apply to Steve Shauger asap, as we will again sell out well in advance. With the amount of time required and the need to have the appropriate judges on hand, we need to stress the importance of early registration, especially for this segment of the MCACN show. Hat's off to Steve and the entire team for once again allowing us to continue to "raise the bar" and maintain our reputation as the ultimate show for Muscle Car and Corvette enthusiasts, for both participants and our spectators. Re: Vintage Certification @ MCACN 2015
I was just forwarded a link to a Vintage Certification article highlighting some of our 2015 participants. This is the digital form but, will be in the May Muscle Car Review magazine.
Congratulations to our team of judges and everyone who has participated. http://www.hotrod.com/events/1602-check-...ette-nationals/ Just an FYI, but 2016 roster is starting to fill up and the upcoming article may escalate participation. 2016 is shaping up to be spectacular! |
Re: Vintage Certification @ MCACN 2015
Great article Steve. You deserve all the good press you get for all the effort put into this part of the show.

Re: Vintage Certification @ MCACN 2015
I'm looking forward to bringing the SD455 this year. It may be a little grungy underneath but I'd rather leave it be than risk overcleaning and wiping some markings away. (At least that is what I keep telling myself when I think about climbing underneath it again).

Hats off also to all who participated and received some coverage. This is always one of the coolest parts of the MCACN show. This year Vintage Certification will be taking over the ballroom area, which we used for the awards, seminars and bands in the past. This will allow us to lay the cars out so that you can view them easier, while not interfering with the intense judging process. If you are interested in participating in this aspect of the show, please contact Steve asap as this is always one of the first parts of the show to sell out and to maintain the integrity of the judging process, we must strictly limit the amount of entries. Thanks; Bashton MCACN Managing Member |
