I'm going. Flight booked. Room booked. No car. Got the new travel ID. We're ready. Will be my 1st time to go...Joe

Ryan1969Chevelle 10-04-2019 10:54 AM

All my travel details are set.

I make a week of it, I drive to on the Wednesday and drive home on the Monday.

Helping with move in again which is a joyous event-foot killing event. (I think I will buy some new “Dad shoes” now and get some break in miles on them.

A few special events for me this year are the Dan Vasic 1969 300 Deluxe SS396 Post Sedan invitational display and one of the MSU Project W31 “Students” 1970 Buick Stage 1 is being debued after restoration (Joe Guzek was the Motor Wheel Spyder sponsor not a student but I call them all students)

I hope everyone has safe uneventful travels and hope everyone enjoys MCACN as much as I do.

Time is ticking!!! Book your travels if not done already!!!

Room booked, my 1st time ever! Need some guys to show me the ropes. I’m hoping to have a shirt with “bbbentley” on the back, so guys will recognize me and say hi.
Supposed to be bringing my friend’s 69 SS/EA COPO. Have no idea what I am doing with trailer once unloaded? Wish me luck

WE have a nearby lot that we pay for that is used for trailer parking. We have 24/7 security there from Thursday morning on. This is included with the entry.

The move-in packs will be mailed in about two weeks and they have all the information you could ever want.

Thanks;

Bashton

No excuse, Frank! I had a pretty legitimate one last year what with building a house and everything. Oh well, sorry you won’t make it. I’ll catch ya on a long Philly overnight sometime next year, and I’ll be at MCACN...basically every one for the foreseeable future!:3gears:

Cheers:beers:

Phmmmph...building a house; what a lame excuse. You need to get your priorities straight!

And everyone pleaseeeeeeeee read the move it packet. Show up when you are supposed to. We stage move in trying to make it orderly and not have people stuck out in the staging lot. Showing up hours early will probably mean you are sitting there for hours. Also have less than 1/4 tank of gas and be able to disconnect your battery. :-)

Kudos to all who are involved in the move-in process!! :youguysrock: A monumental task that seems to run smoother each year.

I can’t wait.... I am on move in again (so many good friends!!)

I am happy/sad this year... I have no display to share and no car to present, and no team of Engineers to get on stage (no wait they are back with one of the coolest Buick’s you are ever going to see).... my point is that I am going to look at the cars this year with some time to soak them in Saturday and Sunday!!!

I think I have said this before and will say it again.... Bob Ashton you have the best sand box and I appretiate the opportunity to play in it!!!

Oh, don’t fret none, Ryan. I’m not bringing anything this year either and as such, won’t be welcome during the most funnest time of the show; move in!:frown: I was instructed that the bathroom security position adjacent to the Big Room where the ceremonies are held is still open, and I’ve applied but heard nothing. Feel honored as these positions are coveted and held to high standards! You, being you, have the skills necessary to help move in so you were scooped up fast. Me on the other hand, my qualifications haven’t even mustered a peep from management to monitor the latrine :dunno: so I’ve come up with a different strategery. I’m gonna rush the gate with my cool shirt, past Enthusiast of the Year award in place of the Helen Gibb award Kelly won pictured here, and Holy Grail book (that still needs to be autographed...ahem:wink:) and with so many tickets from past years around my neck they’ll be in total disbelief someone could be this stupid.....and I’ll strooooooolllll right on in!

But, he who laughs last! I’m entering a car next year, so they dun gotsta let me in!!!:headbang:

See you soon!

Cheers
Dave

Stationed at Great Lakes Navy Base and no car to bring, but I am looking forward to meeting more members again this year.
