For only $30K, you could own the only dusk blue Yenko! With original tires included!

WorkinProgress 04-12-2019 07:58 PM

Wonder why he took a picture of the 4 piston calipers next to the console? Hopefully the 140 speedo can be salvaged, not sure about the rest of the body.

No one noticed the standard production heater?

And with a Blue vinyl top.

Same could be said with no ducted hood wiring hole above fuse box, and wrong throttle lever.

All considered, best grab an NCRS Report to confirm shipped to Yenko as it could be another incorrect Vin recorded by Yenko?:hmmm:

Looks like we've got two threads going on this same car but everyone arriving at the same conclusions.

To be clear: no question that is NOT a Yenko COPO. It would appear the VIN list is in error.
Triple blue - would have been a good color combo!

purple panther 04-13-2019 11:58 AM

I would get a ncrs document .

PeteLeathersac 04-13-2019 01:56 PM

Never a 9560/9561 car but the NCRS report could still come back Yenko if Vin from inventory added to one of Don's 'lists' which if so, could still offer some chance of conversion car possibilities?
Considering eBoy Auction lingo used, the seller seems somewhat knowledgeable so has probably already gained the NCRS Dealer info but w/ auction including 'do your homework' statements + no mention of NCRS reports could indicate a Non-Yenko result?:hmmm:

List, chance, conversion, typo. Scary part is if someone got ahold of this car a long time ago and rebodied it with a cowl car body and restored it correctly , it would be a certified documented legit 427 yenko camaro .

bergy 04-13-2019 09:22 PM

Car would still need NCRS report showing Yenko Chev delivery. The group on this site is pretty tough on cars that just “show up”. The ZL-1s that showed up in Canada didn’t get much love.

the427king 04-13-2019 09:31 PM

Playing devils advocate, say it is a yenko delivered car from ncrs paperwork. Does that prove it wasnt a run of the mill camaro x11 that just happened to be a yenko dealership car and erroneously got on a list ??

DW31S 04-13-2019 11:15 PM

Is that a “cold air” (cowl hood) firewall? Seller admits outside heater box is wrong, but study the picture of what’s left of that firewall.....
And that triple blue sure isn’t color code #57.....

Maybe that’s what the seller is banking on now.

mssl72 04-14-2019 07:12 AM

If it was a fully converted Yenko shouldn't it have the Yenko tag with the Yenko number rivited in the door jam?

bergy 04-14-2019 10:08 AM

The 1969 Yenko Camaro’s didn’t get a YS number rivited to the door jamb.

WorkinProgress 04-14-2019 11:19 PM

Listing shows someone did the "buy it now" for 30 large. Guess someone just had to have it.

The subject VIN was removed from our registry a couple of days ago. We try to keep our registry current whenever new information comes up.

the427king 04-15-2019 12:26 AM

NCRS probably made a few grand on this Vin request.

69SS350 04-16-2019 12:33 AM

I have the feeling someone made a $30K mistake. I hope I'm wrong.

Way too many unanswered questions.

Heres the other thread

JoeC 04-16-2019 11:44 AM

does anyone know what the NCRS shipping data report shows as the dealer?

Steve Shauger 04-16-2019 01:05 PM

The winning bidder is aware this VIN was on the list as a ???, and that it is no longer on the Yenko list. The list has been updated, but not posted on the site as of yesterday. I'm confident the ebay sale is dead.

Mr70 04-16-2019 01:12 PM

It's clear the ebay seller is aware there is an issue with this car..LOL

"Up for sale. This car has been in my collection for many years. I am selling it due to the simple fact it needs to go to there correct collection for a well deserved restoration. PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK prior to bidding. This is one of the MISSING YENKO cars that is the REAL DEAL.I HAVE PROVIDED the VIN TAG and COWL TAG pics. The internet will provide you the necessary remaining information . This car will need a complete rotisserie restoration and only comes with parts in pictures. There is NO motor ,trans or rear end. The hidden VIN stamping s are still on the firewall. Why build a clone car when the rear deal is available to the correct investor. I am willing to place the shell on a pallet for shipping , help with shipping or deliver within 300 miles for a set fee. This item will NOT be sold overseas or accept bidders from overseas, nor will accept any bids with lower than 50 score . Sols as -is NO warranty.

On Apr-12-19 at 16:15:25 PDT, seller added the following information:
Just to make it clear , The hidden VIN # matches the VIN # tag. I also want to let the public know just because the vehicle has a small block heater box in it currently is in no way and indication it was a small block car when sold. it is 50 years old...Please check the VIN registry with SYC and do your homework prior to making false accusations. Thank you..

On Apr-13-19 at 16:24:01 PDT, seller added the following information:
I have included the hidden pic for all of those who have requested it. There are so many negative comments it is just sad, The VIN number is on YENKO websites,,period. Please do your homework and bid accordingly."

bergy 04-16-2019 02:18 PM

"The list has been updated, but not posted on the site as of yesterday"

The registry that I help to maintain on the opening page of this site. Located under "supercar registry" - "1969 Camaros", has been updated without the subject VIN for a few days. If there is another list of Yenko cars with the VIN still on it - it needs to be removed. I do not have access to the other list. My recommendation going forward is to have only one "list". The registry has all of the cars marked as COPO, Yenko, ZL-1, etc. So, there is no need for multiple "lists".

Hi Bruce-Like you...I am not sure where the other list may reside, but the list you are referring to was updated on the 13th...and is located here:

Maybe this list?

Steve Shauger 04-16-2019 03:17 PM

Thanks Bruce, the mystery solved. Only the current & maintained list are posted in the Registry Forum.:beers:

iluv69s 04-17-2019 09:25 AM

No cowl induction piercing...aoitomatic firewall hole cover... Sm block heater box... wrong build date... amongst many other things.. NOT !

Anyone with access to VIN DMV records should run every possible variation of this VIN with one number changed !! I suspect a typo on the Yenko list
