Bob,----Gary made the flares on the car by working and bending the rear wheel-well lip out , then forming the extra metal into a larger lip. The underside was filled and layered with fiberglas,following the flare contour, to give it a thick and smooth underside----

That's about what happened Bob--'79 A Family member got a grave lingering illness and priorities just got shifted around ----The Buick Grand National in 1987 got me interested again in cars and I started working on the Chevelle.--What made me hold on to the car so long------ Lets just say the car provided some good/fun memories of a time gone by, that at the time were much needed and welcomed----- https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Joe I love your Chevelle man... Did you ever realize it was such a special machine being a Baldwin/Motion car back then? Or was is just a car that you enjoyed owning?
