Pardon my ignorance on this and I am by no means questioning this car, but did all long blocks going through the parts department have the CE designation or were those only for warranty replacements?

Nor me. 16 years ago, WOW. I knew if it was out there and was real, someone on this site would have knowledge of it. Thank You for posting. Bill

Hard to beat a black car with white stripes.

The original owner affidavit mentions only a short block was swapped by Motion. I wonder if the new 427 short block came from Baldwin?

This car appears to have 4x’d in value since when I saw it for sale last.

dykstra 02-27-2024 11:10 AM

What a great car! WOW!

Was at Volo last Friday looking at another car and stopped by this Camaro and took a look. For $500,000 it should be flawless. Being inside under fluorescent lights you can see everything. I was surprised.

FTC 02-28-2024 11:22 AM

That car is STUNNING.

FTC 02-28-2024 11:32 AM

That whole interior is exactly like mine even with a temp guage hanging below the dash ...yes, the console mounted one isn't hooked up,.... but I don't have those knobs in my console door.

Same black deluxe interior, same wood grain treatments, same 3 spoke deluxe steering wheel...(without the SS emblem)

Looking at those pics makes it seem like I'm sitting in my car,...lol.

Pro Stock John 02-28-2024 09:36 PM

Hmm if we have rain this weekend I might venture up to Volo to check out the car.

Surprised how? Like in a good way surprised or a bad way surprised? Did it look like a $500,000 Car should look? Bill

Oldss 03-01-2024 01:32 AM

Bill, To me it was a bit of a let down. There were no salespeople around to talk with. The hood was shut so couldn’t see the engine, so no comment on that. The interior looked to be very good. The paint had spots that were shrinking back and swelling. The trim had some dents removed and not finished well. I’m no expert by any means and not trying to throw Volo under the bus, but for 500,000 should have been better. Stopped by to look at an original W30. At the price they are asking that car has been given a life sentence. Never going to see the light of day again.

The old post shows some paperwork but not any paperwork from Motion Performance?

Is it just a Motion installed a 427 short block?

Did Motion install any of their Phase III parts?

The finned Motion emblem valve covers came out in 1970.

124378N384916 - the paint on the VIN is kinda thick for a resto....

Lynn 03-05-2024 10:19 PM

Really thick.
