I actually do not like the steel wheels, But I have been convinced to keep them on the car. |
Fantastic car!
Thanks for sharing- |
Wow, just a beautiful combination, and well preserved. Thanks for sharing!
|
Very nice combo, I daresay looks even better on a Nova than a Camaro.

I collect Hurst wheels and have 5 perfect sets :) |
I love the steel wheels, but if it were mine I would change them from time to time. Just don't let the steel wheels go.
|
Awesome nova! Get those hurst wheels on it and make a coffee table from the steel wheels. Stack them 2 by 2 and get a piece of tempered glass for the top!
Buddy |
Nothing wrong with a mint set of Hurst's either.
I do love how things like these come out of the woodwork once in a while. :youguysrock: |
That Nova would look killer with those Hurst Wheels on it...

You have a sweet Nova... Garnet Red is one of my favorite colors.
|
'
W:drool:W and you're a lucky dog to own such a car! Like big gearhead above, I love both and would run steel wheels periodically...maybe swap a 427 back and forth too? :beers: ~ Pete . |
Such a beautiful Nova. Isn't it funny how opinions vary? Personally, I love the steelies way more than the Cragars. Those Hurst wheels are awesome and you don't see them every day like Cragars, but I'd still leave the steelies.

69 Nova...
I like the idea of swapping out wheels and tires once in awhile. It is a simple change and can sometimes give your ride a new look.
I may do some of this in 2018... Good luck...it is a beautiful car. -wilma |
Very nice!
|
That red really looks great on the Nova.
|
----Have never seen a Nova with Hurst wheels installed, but would like to!!!......Bill S

Is this tag factory? What does it represent?
|
It came from the factory like that.
The CU code is the code assigned to both that particular master cylinder and brake booster assembly together.Sometimes the bail wire of the master cylinder lid carries a CU sticker wrapped around it as well. If a car has a buildsheet,it's 2 digit Master/Booster code will show up on that also. This is typical of all GM car lines, with different 2 letter codes of course. |

I would like to thank the members here for their help recently.
I have not owned a Chevrolet collector car in over 30+ years but I have owned many Mopars and Pontiacs some for over 40 years. I recently bought this Nova SS and contacted the original owner who did detail the engine compartment back in the early 1980's. He did add "dress up items" then like the intake and valve covers but did save the originals and I have them and will be installing them soon. I would like help on the proper details and I will start a post in the Technical & Restoration section ?. Here are a few pictures I just took. Thanks in advance |
Love the triple red look!! And I vote for dog dish caps all day long!! Very nice!!

A few members have asked me to post pictures of the factory original carpet that is in my 1969 Nova SS.
It is somewhat odd as it is a bucket seat car with a 4-speed and no console. Here are a few pictures, If anyone needs others, Just let me know.... |
