Dave Boertman 1969 Bel air

Hello there,

Can anyone out there give me any info if Dave Boertman is still with us? I'm trying to find out more info on the small block '69 Biscayne he cleaned house with at the nationals in '69 and '70 before he went to the Rod Shop, thanks. I knew he was from Michigan, regards.

car craft did a writeup on the biscayne, in a late '70? issue. 350-255hp auto ran 13.48 for the eliminator win at '70 indy.

I was racing a 57 Chevy 283 4 barrel stocker when Boertman was racing the 59 and I was having trouble with the old 3 speed trashing synchros. I asked Dave one night at US131 how he kept the sychros in his transmission and he just laughed. He told me he just knocked them out with a punch, put the tranny back together and power shifted every time he shifted. I tried it and it worked like a charm. He didn't hold back, all you had to do was ask him a question and he gave you the answers.
Great guy! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
