A few recently unearthed photos

I tracked these down from a guy in Ohio who had them for years... the envelope is postmarked 1974 and the label reads "69 427 Yenko Super Camaro". I actually have a copy of one of the photos already but 3 of them I have never seen before. They are shots of the gold magazine road test car, and the one with the mag wheels appears to have been taken at the track during the day of the test. The other shot appears to be the same car wearing rally wheels and an inventory tag in the drivers side window... looks to have been photographed in Chicago(!?) Seems this car got around. Just thought I'd share.

Heres the envelope...

Yenko postmark...ironically it was stamped exactly a year and a day before I was born.

Last one... I think this was taken in Chicago, and imagine it's the same gold road test car, based on the emblem and stripe placement.

Has this car been located? Restored? it would be neat to put the emblems on like they are in the photos and watch the "experts" chime in... LOL

Check it out... in the Road Test shot it has Atlas wheels and no front lic plate bracket... but you're right Joe... same emblems...

Yes, the car is restored and is gold with white stripes. The emblem placement remains as it is in these photos.

I noticed it has louvers and drip rail trim, what is the X code on this car? Does it have a black tail pan?

The X code is X66 and yes it has a black tailpan, but it does not have drip rail moldings. The car was restored once before incorrectly, and Cliff had Chuck restore it a few years ago the right way. Absolutely gorgeous in person!

I like the overspray treatment on that car.
