Yenko's Found
Does anyone have a list that can be emailed to me as to which Yenko's have been found? (Camaro, Chevelle, Nova)I would like to see a current name next to the vin list I have. I am not looking for any other personal information nor will I give it out to anyone.
I have the list of which ones made on an excel format but I am looking to expand that has to which ones have been found and not found. These cars intrigue me and I am wanting to know how many are left to be found. Plus as a begining journalist I would to expand Bob McClurg's new book of the missing ones and how we need to fill in the blanks or realize they may be gone. Please email me at [email protected] Thanks Michael Chentfant |

Re: Yenko's Found
Humor aside, sending out a list of what Yenko cars are owned (and by whom yet!) may not be the wisest thing. You'd be surprised at how quickly one of the 'unfound' cars amazingly becomes 'found'. We obviously don't want to be a party to that debacle. The info never stays with the initial receptor, and owners definitely don't want their name/car combo info dispersed.
That is why our vin list did not list this type of info. We did however list more than just the vin - we gave trans type, color, dealer, etc... If anyone recalls, that very data was not included on another site's vin listing, and a quick search here would have prevented a person from losing $6k cash to a crook! |
Re: Yenko's Found
How about lists of cars found and owned. so people are not spinning there wheels looking for a car already found. I agree that NO personal info should be posted. And i also respect people who have the location of a car and are trying to purchase. It is all to easy for someone to buy a car out from under the person who has invested there time and money.

Re: Yenko's Found
My original request did not come out correctly. I AM NOT looking to put out names next to the vin. What I am looking to do is "ists of cars found and owned so people are not spinning there wheels looking for a car already found" adding ext/int colors trans type etc.

Re: Yenko's Found
With all the builders of fake cars out there, I doubt that owners of real COPO/Yenko cars are about to make it any easier for them by handing out more information. I only share what I know with bonafide owners for this very reason, and I have.

Exactly. The request certainly sounds genuine, but the next guy becomes the trouble maker. Somebody wish to relay the story of the 5 ZL1's in Canada? |
