NOS Yenko Nova Deuce Hood Tachometer Wanted
I’m looking for a Yenko hood tach from Dixco. I prefer an NOS one in box, or a perfect used one.
I will pay big $$$ for a good Yenko hood tach. E-Mail me your offer at: Thanks !!! http://www.werren.com/YenkoTach.jpg |
Re: NOS Yenko Nova Deuce Hood Tachometer Wanted
Hey SwissYenko - welcome aboard. The Dixcos that Yenko used are out there. Finding one with the sYc embossed logo will be challenging.
So, do you have a Deuce in Schweiz? |

Call Don White. 267-246-6903. He may have what you need.

There are other options, tell us your intended use and we can help you out from there. Finding / buying an NOS Deuce tach is both risky and pricey, be careful.

Re: NOS Yenko Nova Deuce Hood Tachometer Wanted
Hello all
Thanks for all the posts. It is really a risk to find a original Yenko tach. Today the Tachman reproduce the bezel with the silk screened Yenko logo. For this case, anybody can buy a cheap (well used) Dixco tach and put a repop bezel on it and tell a great story. :-) I’m a collector of any hood tach. I’m only buying NOS ones with box and all the stuff like instruction manual, mounting hardware etc. I own today 4 Chrysler Parts HTx-7 Dixco's, 1 Ford in the box, 1 Dixco HTx-7 in the box (8000 RPM), 1 Dixco HTx-9 (10’000 RPM) in the box, 1 Dixco Tricolor from 1973 and one very rare Dixco HTx-8 / 4-Cylinder (8000 RPM). I collect them since years. I would pay a good price for a NOS Yenko with Box and all the stuff that reflects the originality. We don’t have any Yenko Deuce Nova here in Switzerland. Thanks Patrik |

You and me both! That will be a very difficult item to pull as I've never seen a boxed Yenko version in 20+ years of looking...and I'm in Don's back yard. But heck...wasn't it me that was just saying don't give up in your search for whatever it is you're passionate about? Good luck in your search, and please do share if you manage to locate one. |
Re: NOS Yenko Nova Deuce Hood Tachometer Wanted
Patrik,
Just silk screening does not cut it for a real Deuce/Dixco hood tach. The face bezel is also embossed... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...s/DSC_0028.jpg |

So Patrik, you don't have a DEUCE Yenko in Schweiz . Any other Yenkos?

But I was surprised about a long research, also original Yenko tach exists with non embossed bezels. Dixco produced so many variations; often they changed the production during one year. I’m collecting since year’s also any printing information. Actually I’m desinging a Website for the Dixco theme (not released yet). Just one small information. Many people belief the Tricolor was a Ford tach or a reproduction. But they are all wrong. The legendary Tricolor Dixco HTx-7 was introduced trough Dixson 1973. The changed the design during 4 years tree times. First Edition: With a transparent tach work inner housing Second Edition: HTx-977 (I have a picture from a catalogue, never saw one live!) Very very special Dixco front bezel. Third Edition: With a white tach work inner housing. Different illumination. Here a picture from a first edition Tricolor HTx-7 Thanks Patrik http://www.werren.com/001.jpg |

Many thanks! |
Re: NOS Yenko Nova Deuce Hood Tachometer Wanted
Sounds like an interesting website. Let us know when you get it set up. I'll try to get Marlin's (YenkoDeuceRegistry) attention, as I'll bet he has a few Deuce Tach photos to post.

Re: NOS Yenko Nova Deuce Hood Tachometer Wanted
I have a few, but feel most original Yenko tachs were embossed - makes touching up the white a bit easier. We've been more hung up on the glossiness of the shroud, as new ones are glossy and reference material calls out a flat black.
I agree on the mutli colored face versions, they were being produced well into the 90's and could be bought in the J.C. Whitney catalogue for $40'ish. They were quite different in that they had a plastic coupling, different circuitry, colors, etc... but guys have used them in a pinch. Oh, the metal coupling would swap right on the J.C. versions. |

Hello Sam I never saw a true Yenko Camaro here in Switzerland. We have over 10'000 Muscle Cars, but not anybody drives with them to the US-Car meetings. US-Car Meeting Switzerland Patrik |
Re: NOS Yenko Nova Deuce Hood Tachometer Wanted
Patrik - I have seen this website before. Before I head to DE or CH I check out to see where/when the shows are. Cool to see the US auto following in Europe.

Do not have a Yenko tach with a box but I have the real one from my 70 phantom blue Duece from Wallace Chevrolet. I can part with it for the right price.
