1969 judge values????
Just wondering what project ram air III cars are worth. Carousel red, parchment int., auto console, A/C, PHS docs. In need of complete resto. Its missing original motor and ram air parts.
Anyone got a ballpark figure? Thanks, Joe |

Re: 1969 judge values????
Hi Joe,
I think that a good driver quality car such as the one you described can be bought for 35-40 range. Projects have backed up a bit just as the finished, running and driving car has. Parts are still pricey so beware the affordable project as it can easily surpass the "driver" in cost but not in value. |
Re: 1969 judge values????
Don't know what he's asking for it but here's a recent post from performance years site:
Have to get rid of a few things because of divorce, I don't have to sell but want to sell. I have a 69 judge that needs complete resto, RA III,carousel red, automatic, non a/c, non rally gauge, black interior, with (original)matching numbers motor and trans in place. Carb is not original , will actually run quite well but hasn't in 8 years, has been stored in doors since 1998. Is rough but has never been restored and is 95% complete. Have some spare parts for rebuild. As it sits now, front clip and bumper are off and seats removed. Rusty floor boards, around front and rear windows (lower) and lower quarters. I have been in possession of this car since 1980. I could explian more in actual conversation. If interested PM me your phone number if interested. $5000 Lots of other stuff i'll throw in That ad will give you an indication that you are in the 5k-10k ballpark. I guarantee you, you'll be upside down on that car before you know it if you plan a full resto, unless you're gettig it for a $1000 and you can do all the work yourself. Automatic, non original motor, etc. There are nice, running, numbers versions of that car out there for 25 - 30K that you can pick at while driving. My advice is keep looking - good luck. |
Re: 1969 judge values????
I agree with the others here. I'd have to say with the abundance of restored, completed cars out there now, most 69 Judges are in the $30K-$50K range for a hardtop, auto, RAIII car, with maybe a few non-matching parts, etc., but with a nice paint job, very presentable, the type you would see at an auction. Prices are higher for higher quality frame-off restos, or 4-speed and RAIV cars, and of course ragtops.
If this Judge you're looking at needs a complete resto, and is missing the engine the trans, no more than $5000. The cost to restore a car is so outrageous, and the values of these cars have come down so far, project cars have fallen by the wayside. |
Re: 1969 judge values????
Colors are right however the auto non matching kills it.
You will spend tens of thousands tracking down the right RA parts etc. RAIII's are too plentiful to get stuck with a dog. A detailed correct matching #'s frame off 69 RAIII in good colors should be in the 75-80k range. back out the numbers and go from there. |
Re: 1969 judge values????
Thanks everyone. Looks like the judge made it to ebay. You guys pretty much scared me away. Its the one located in Iowa. Already at $6600, see where it goes.

Joe, why would you even look at a POS like that? I thought your dad taught you better? ha ha

The understatement of the century:
"It's missing some of the original components, such as original ram air engine, tranny and ram air." |
Re: 1969 judge values????
I've seen people save worse. The fact is that its a Ram Air III car with good colors and some neat options. Good project for someone that doesn't have a lot of money to spend and wants to test their body work and parts finding skills.

I resemble that remark. Always liked this particular color Judge. I found it on Craigslist in 3 different areas with 3 different prices. Lowest price was $9900. Thats why I asked the value question. Seemed alittle high but I don't keep up on pontiacs. Body work is what we do. Finding parts is a little tougher when you haven't ever done a gto. Thats the part that worries me! Joe |

Jason </div></div> Talk about saving a rough Chevelle! The GTO being discussed here is a show car compared to what you started with. |

You're right I would rather spend three days in jail than to work that car. At least the pain would last only three days. Lol |
