Hey Dana - check out the '59 Chevrolet in Bob Cole's posting for his parent's 50th anniversary. The thread is titled, "Thanks to Woj...." On one of the shots from the rear of the car you can see "Jim Connell East Cleveland" on the rear trim.

This was my Uncle's dealership. He moved from Cleveland to Anderson, SC in the late 60's/early 70's. His slogan was "the dealership with the big heart!".

I believe the anderson dealership sold AND SPONSORED a hugger orange COPO in 69. I have photos and actually know the drivers daughter. Trying to find more info as to where it may have gone.

The car was named CANDY MAN and the driver was Cromer - Quain Stott has been contacted by Cromer to build him a replica if the car cannot be located.
He owns CROMERS FOOD SERVICE a supplier of vending and food service in South Carolina & Georgia. |
