1965 GTO - 4,265 original miles!

A stunning all original 1965 GTO. The seller is a member here, so I thought I'd do a little promotion for him , but my main purpose for this post is for everyone to see these great pictures, and how a 1965 GTO looked when new.

My favorite year GTO, the timeless 1965.

Re: 1965 GTO - 4,265 original miles!

Ed, what was the story on this car as to why it has so few miles? Was that stated in the MCR article?

The only thing that I noticed that was weird was that the tri-power linkage seems to be installed wrong. The slotted arm went on the center carb, not on the back carb. Could have been a factory goof, and it's something that can be easily switched in a few minutes.

Truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for someone to buy. They're only original once.

They can but it will cost WAY more than this car will.

Sounds like you're talking a rebody James or at best some level of restoration involving replacement parts...certainly nothing close to an untouched original like this example truly is!.

Regardless of how things may appear under strange lighting or what any so called experts say, if liquor and the excitment of the moment blurs a fella's judgement enough to pull the trigger, later when alone with his prize and exterior items are removed to reveal anything hidden, under close scrutiny the naked truth is sometimes surprising!.
