Re: 1968/1969 Dealer #218, Zone 10

I don't have # 218 or see it anywhere either?.
Same w/ the Dealer Code for Burt Chevrolet, anyone?.

Considering how you can now find out what Dealer an original 'Vette was delivered to, the actual info must be gleaned from microfishe cards similar to GM Canada's or another format that shows codes and not names?.
If so, what reference is used when compiling these 'Vette info packages?.
Nowhere near what the 'Vette guys can get for their cars but a complete Chevy Dealer Code reference could sure be useful by everyone else especially cases like this where just the # is known!.

I just spoke to a salesman at Burt that has been there for 46 years. Their code is 075 (10075). Two other Chevrolet dealerships around in 69 were Capitol and Viner, they are long gone. Another was Luby that is now DBA Emick(sp). I have a few more calls out awaiting replys.

Thanks Chris!.
I don't know why but I must've forgotten to look at the NCRS site as the above Zone # 10 Dealers are listed although still nothing for 218?.

<span style="text-decoration: underline">Zone # 10</span>

Dealer Code # 75 = Burt
Dealer Code # 82 = Capitol (Capital?)
Dealer Code # 521 = Luby (&amp; # 531?)
Dealer Code # 905 = Viner

Dealer Code # 218 = ?.

# 216 = Nick Davidson, Loveland Co.
# 248 = Ed Bozarth, Aurora Co.

Hi Guys,

I appreciate the information. On the IBM sheet for our new 69 Z28, it clearly indicates Zone 10 Dealer 218. I have a few calls and emails out myself; I am hoping something comes through.

Thanks,
Dave

<span style="font-style: italic">You may want to reach out to Al Grenning for some help identifing the dealer. Al has GM dealer code and zone numbers that were accurate from at least around 1960 to about 72. I was at one of his seminars a few years ago, and he had 2 large binders (6 to 8 inches thick each) listing dealers by zone and code. He had received them from someone at GM, during one of his research visits.
I don't know what he charges for this service, but he doesn't usually provide it for free. Though at the seminar, he did offer to look up the dealer, for anyone you had their info with them.
Al can be reached at www.ccas4vettes.com, or emailed at [email protected] </span>
