My apology to the paid members
There is nothing more aggravating than getting a charge on my credit card bill for something I did not know about. I thought I had changed the settings on this site so paid members would be notified that their paid subscriptions were about to expire and then Paypal would ask them to renew. What apparently has been happening is Paypal is just billing or charging members when it is time but not asking. Yesterday I managed to turn that setting off so it will no longer attempt to charge automatically. If anyone got charged and they didn't want to be just let me know and I will refund it.

I was charged $5,000 last month, but I thought it was worth it. Please refund $4,750. and we'll call it even.

I have no idea what will happen. It might be the only way to know is if your stars disappear. Mike I mailed you a check for 10K so please send me a check for 5K and we are good. Please send my check overnight.

By turning off the automatic payment I have managed to screw things up even more. Now when you pay it accepts the money and then you get a message that profile has been cancelled. What it really canceled is the recurring payment but people are getting alarmed. Ignore the cancellation please.
"You successfully canceled the following PayPal Recurring Payment profile. We will no longer bill the buyer. If you did not request this cancellation, contact PayPal Customer Support toll-free at 1-888-221-1161." |

Both last year and this year, my PayPal account was debited twice for the membership....once on 1/31 and again on 2/10 (today). Last year I thought it was just an anomaly so I just forgot about it. When it happened again this year, I had to go into my PayPal account (not as simple as it sounds, unfortunately [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/thumbsdown.gif[/img] ) and change the setting for automatic debiting on 2/10 every year. Hopefully I have that straightened out now.....don't know if this has happened to anyone else or not.
