Re: Lemans Blue L78 convert
I have been a member for 3 or 4 years been looking around on this site for years. I picked the car up this summer with the help from Charlie. Its a great car and I have been correcting a few of the fastner issues and need a few things such as a reverse lock out rod.

Re: Lemans Blue L78 convert
Guy,
IT was great to meet you this summer. I am glad you got this car, it couldn't have gone to a better home, when I saw the paper and the fact that it was good color L78 vert I figured Dave was going to corner the market and buy everyone he found... BTW according to the broadcast sheet your Blue L78 conv had redline tires. James |
Re: Lemans Blue L78 convert
Thanks James,
It was nice to meet you as well and hang out at Daves place. I also enjoyed the car show and getting to drive L C Cars home.I need to put red lines on the car. |

Re: Lemans Blue L78 convert
That's a great L-78 convert. I owned it for a while about 15 years ago and it was a really nice driving car with the M-20. I've got an L-78 Pace Car now (also with M-20) and have always enjoyed 69 Camaro converts. It gets plenty of thumbs up even from non-car people.

Re: Lemans Blue L78 convert
Thanks It does run well.

Re: Lemans Blue L78 convert
M.20 3.55 is a killer driver combo - 3.55 gets you a nice rear gear if you get on the highway for a few minutes but the 2.52 first ratio yields a pretty steep effective first ratio.
A 3.55 M20 combo yields an effective 1st gear ratio of approx the same as a 3.90 rear with a M21-22. |
Re: Lemans Blue L78 convert
Yes, same combo in my L-78 Pace Car and really makes the car very enjoyable to drive.

Re: Lemans Blue L78 convert
My turquoise '69 Z is a factory M20 3.55, a nice combo. I had a '69Z that was a factory M20 4.10, that car popped off the start!
