Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale-Friday 2017!

Lynn, Holly and I went to Barrett-Jackson today. If you have never been, Go! There's really not anything quite like it.

Free parking always, shuttles buses provided if you are parked far away (a good chance of you don't get there first thing in the morning as the lots closest to the event fill up fairly fast). Vendors selling most everything that you could imagine and all sorts of food to satisfy most anyone's palate. It also happens to have a TON of all different makes and models of most every car imaginable as well on display and ready for auction...a bonus for us car freaks.

Another really neat aspect of Barrett-Jackson is you never know who might be standing next to you...or walking by. From racing...Don Prudhomme? Check! Erica Enders? Check! Linda Vaughn, yep, here too! Hollywood folks...Frankie Munoz, yep! Steven Tyler? In the house...You never know who you will see at Barrett-Jackson.

For us, the best part is seeing friends from auctions past, friends from car events from around the US and making new friends each year at this event...oh...and the cars!

I did mention that you never know who you might run into...and this is a great example of exactly what I was talking about. Erica Enders was standing right next to us and I asked if she would mind taking a picture with Holly, to go along with the one from 10 years ago. We ended up talking to her and her father for 15 minutes- and Erica and her dad thought it would be nice for Holly to try on some of Erica's Jewelry [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif[/img] Oh...We already have a "date" with Erica come February...at Firebird raceway where Holly will be able to check out Erica's pro stock up close and personal! Erica and her dad definitely get it!

We bounced out to the staging lanes to check out a few cars...and then were were going to take off...as we didn't want to push our luck around large crowds of people so soon after Holly's kidney transplant

Bruce, thanks for posting all of those pictures up. I know myself and everyone else really appreciates it.
You should write ad copy for BJ! And Holly looks like she's doing well. Maybe someday we can get out there, but for now I guess we'll have to just go to Palm Beach.
