I was assisting the Northern Ohio Chevelle Club with our club display at the Cleveland IX Center the last two days...Today all of the show cars were moved into the building. This is the old Cleveland Auto Rama Show. I took some "sneak peek" pictures today. The show actually starts tomorrow evening and runs through Sunday... The Chevelle club did a drive in movie theme..
Enjoy... Rich Up First, Our own Albert's AWESOME 69 300!! Thanks Albert for making the hike from Jersey to our show!! |
SYC Member Phil Woj's Glacier Blue 69 300 in the above shot.. AWESOME CAR!! I just found him the 69 plates for the car "W 300" for Woj's 300.... Pretty Cool...

What a Great Line up and Great Car Owners.
All the cars look Fantastic. Love the NOCC Sign :D Dan |
Great pics... One question though.... Why are the Chevelles on wood blocks in the front??http://imgsrv2.tennisuniverse.com/wt...ilies/ummm.gif
|
Very rare to see two 1969 300`s at the same place :D
Dan |
Check out them Van`s....love it!
Dan |
Tons of nice cars. That red '69 Camaro and Albert's Chevelle (amongst many others) look fantastic. Yeah, I was curious also about the wood blocks under the front wheels of the Chevelles.
|
The wood blocks are to simulate the look of the elevated front ends on the cars at the old drive inns. When you would pull into your parking space they were elevated for the front ends of the cars to be up for screen viewing..
I asked the same thing when we were setting up... LOL... Rich |
I know some of those Chevelle owners! Thanks Rich.:beers:

Dave, I just chose not to bring my Chevelle to the show this year. It was there a couple years back and won a first place award. I figure once is enough, let someone else win..

Great Coverage Rich. That looks like a really nice show. Love the diversity. Congrats to all the guys here who took home the awards, and cudos to the Chevelle Club on another impressive display.
The Anglia of Brian Spotts' isn't just a show car. Here's a shot of it at Bowling Green last October during the NDRL Finals at the GoodGuys Nostalgia Meet, ......... this time with REAL tire smoke. |
Cool pics - thanks!!

The club display was that of a drive-in movie theater. We made the blocks to raise the front ends like some of the drive-ins had back in the day. We had the speakers on the driver's windows as well, after the show started. Phil |
The show was better this year and the Chevelle club guys are a riot to hang out with,it was good seeing you Rich and thanks for posting the photos of my Nova`s I`m glad to finally have the green Nova finally done.

Your welcome Ray. Both of your Novas look KILLER!! Love em'

Thanks The Rally was a push to finally get done but I set a goal last fall to have it done for the show now I can`t wait to get some loose ends cleaned up and get the veh on the road and enjoy the car.
