Opinions on this tag on a car I purchased.

Garnet Red with Black Vinyl Top, and I assume Black Stripes.

Thanks, Paul

Thanks for the replies, it was so clean and crisp at first I thought it was a fake. The rest of the car changed my mind after looking at the engine, trans and rear stampings.

Are you going to leave it blue?

Hotrodpaul 08-22-2017 10:59 AM

My plans are to restore it back to the original Garnet Red with black vinyl top.

Good plan.

Nice you nabbed it Paul and looking forward to seeing more of the car!
Have you sent for the dealer shipped to info yet also is there any paperwork or owner history?

No I have not, how would I go about doing that? I do have the 2nd owner POP, out of the North Carolina area. The car apparently went to the west coast of California where it spent most of it's life. VIN sequence is N580062. Appears to be a rust free, all original GM sheetmetal car with ducted hood and endura bumper. Should look good restored in the original colors.

Thanks, Paul

Great stuff Paul, hopefully the Dealer info is in the database as some are not.
Googling the Vin, there's lots of pics from past sale ads...older ones w/ a black grille?
If you know the old CA plate #, we can try searching old newspaper ads but any success depends on whether it was ever offered for sale also the same old newspapers having been scanned in recent years.

Refunds will be processed if none of the above information is available or provided.

Please allow up to 30 days for delivery of ordered documents.

We are missing the following data:
1969 Camaro 9N508855 to 9N587275
1970 Chevelle made in Atlanta, Seventh digit would be A.

NCRS does not anticipate nor have we been authorized to offer any additional GM brand information.

I believe the previous owner bought it from a dealer in California 3 years ago. Must be the one shown.
