Those are cool. Hard to find and even harder to find one which hasn't been molested and isn't a rust bucket.

Good luck in your search!

Good luck finding. I do have a bellhousing if you need it

That wagon is only 30 miles from me,Prolly a decent car

SuperNovaSS 08-27-2017 02:03 AM

That's a cool wagon! I have to admit, I'd never heard of the 267 before today. I had to do a little research to get up to speed.

Awesome 1'st car also great what you're doing w/ your boy!
Here in Canada, we were blessed w/ stick parts as the Iraqi Taxis died out but a few are still around and would be cool to have now.
:beers:

Cool car, but it's been for sale since last year.

I had a light yellow 4-speed '79 wagon about 10 years ago. Wish I still had it.

----Although the Charlotte car is a tad expensive you would spend a bunch more getting the other rusty Detroit car up to the same quality.......Bill S

Agreed. You'd eat up seven grand quickly on body work. The Charlotte car is ready to enjoy. Well worth the money.

Another Option For You!

With all of the uncertainties of dealing with questionable cars, disguised junk, prospects of a not so inexpensive repaint (bodyshop prison) and so on, you could buy this:

https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=142290

It's not a stick nor is it a Malibu, but it's a real close relative :)

And I can guarantee you that this is far (FAR) better than anything you've looked at or will likely find!

Wayne,I'm sure you are right and I have always liked the monte carlos,I'm gonna hold out for a real nice Malibu. The brown car is just a bit too rusty for me. But I do appreciate it very much guys

Fast67VelleN2O 10-16-2017 07:58 PM

Brings back memories. My mom had a 1979 Malibu Wagon, 267, factory 4 speed with tach and gauges and a posi rear. She used to love passing people with the 4 speed.

The brown car in Detroit definitely needs some rust repair...it's for sale on Ebay below, with better pics, see below. Still a neat car but needs a lot of work.
