68 z/28
Assisting a friend to sell a rare in color Seafrost Green with black standard interior 68 Z/28 that is in good shape, fairly original and has some docs, i.e. Protecto Plate. Just up to recently it was a two owner car according to the paperwork / titles. The car is a low option car that came with radio delete, Non-power steering, Non-console and Non gauges. The Z still retains it's Factory Original BORN WITH Engine, M-21 Trans and BU Rear end. The drive train appears to have never been out of the car. The drive train also appears to have never been opened up with the exception of me removing the cover to inspect if the original gears were still in place. The rear end has its factory dated 2-68 gears and looks awesome inside. This Z still retains a lot of the original Z specific parts, but some are missing. The body tags have never been removed and the confidential VIN matches the Public and or Dash VIN. Pictures to follow as soon as I can. SOLD
Original Parts presents: 1. All (5) five Original Big Upside Down DF 15x6 rims 2. Four Leaf Rear Springs 3. Brake Booster 4. 497 Dizzy 5. 5 Blade - 4 Rivet Fan with correct clutch 6. 3 Core "OD" 4Spd Radiator Original Parts Missing: 1. Correct Water Pump 2. Carburetor 3. Alternator 4. Valve Covers 5. How cool is the 0302 block assembly! My 69 is 0307 my dads birthday

Bill, I didn't even notice that 302... Bummer someone scratched the original broaching, but I have seen way worse flat blade screwdriver damage. This one is still easily read. Can't wait to see the whole car!.. Danny

Here is a picture of the car, which is being completed in the next couple of weeks and Joe is going to put it on Ebay. The car is a factory D80 car and still has the correct thicker spoiler tension rod. The right side valve cover was removed and car still has the factory "O" rockers present. This is not a pristine car but is an above average car that can be enjoyed and still able to do local cruise night shows.

Got some time today and helped Joe install some trim on the Z and it's looking pretty good. We are waiting on some parts that we ordered and they should be here next Thursday. I'm trying to talk Joe into detailing the engine some for the previous owner painted the aluminum intake Chevy Orange and it looks stupid.

Thats really a nice car Dave. Shows well!

I've had several pm's already asking the same thing, so I'm posting it here. Yes, the car has fresh paint and is above average but not a Concourse job. The vehicle is being sold at a realistic and accordingly price for what it is.
|
Is there a listing somewhere? Maybe I missed it

Can i get a phone number to ask some questions please
Joel. |
I've had some request for my phone number and I apologize for not getting back, but I believe the car is sold for this Saturday to a member here. If the deal does not materialize it will be on Ebay this Sunday.

We spent some time on the Z and removed the intake to strip of the orange paint. Like I had indicated in an earlier post the previous owner painted the entire engine orange. The headers were also removed and a smog system was re-installed but not 100% correct. . It looks much better now than what it did then.
The rear stripes extend to the edge of the deck lid, which is incorrect. However, this is a factory D80 car as noted in one of my previous post. |
Awesome car, congrats to the new owner.

The Z28 went to a new home today.....SOLD
