Cheap '69 Maybe-a-Z/28
Has the right tach, I guess, but who knows. Not a terrible looking car for $22k, and comes with a legit looking 69 DZ block.

Wow, just realized it's an original yellow-on-yellow car too.

August 38 engine stamp?
- Warren |
Yup, real stamp. Several others known.
|
Already sold...that was quick.
|
That was a good deal for a NOM LA car. Door panels look to have been yellow at one point and I definitely would have been going to look at this one for the price it was offered at.
|
Oh wow... that seems like a great buy. While yellow/yellow isn't for everyone, yellow houndstooth helps. Did you gents see the original sound deadening for the deluxe interior is still on the trunk? I love little things like that. Awesome buy/project.

Did someone here get it? Kinda wish I would have bought it! I'll be bummed if it's for sale next week for $30k.
|
Thats funny because I was also seriously thinking about going and getting this.
I just wanted the guy to verify the rear end stamping for me. Never thought it would sell that quick. |
Me either...I did contact the seller afterwards and confirmed he had received a deposit.
|
Here's another yellow-on-yellow '69 that makes the previous car look like one heck of a deal. $25k buy-it-now on this one.

Well I'll be. Being flipped for SIXTY GRAND. Good luck with that, pal.

124379L528693
That V0838DZ block that was sold with it was for sale back in 2016 on ebay. Partial VIN on that block is 19N513230 |
Also has an incorrect vin of 124378N480867 listed in the auction, the original auction had the vin listed as 124379L528693............

"You will never find one like this for the money!" ($60k) Should probably have said: "You will never find one like this for the money I paid for it!" ($22.5k) But on a more serious note, we have an LA-built car with no documentation, at least one repaint, NOM 350, spare NOM 302 from an early Norwood car, and no other drivetrain pics or numbers provided. First ebay seller stated 'original trans' in the title, second seller states '4 speed matching numbers' (which isn't the same as 'original to this car')...... but no number or pics, and ditto for the 12-bolt. Even if the trans has a matching partial VIN, the car could still be an SS (SB or BB) rather than a Z. $22.5k was a fair price for a good rust-free driver 'possible' Z/28, but a $60k asking price considering the above........? |

Seller is out of his mind if he thinks he's getting anywhere near that price.
|
|
Back up to $60k. Hate to see cars passed around by idiots and not enjoyed by enthusiasts.

Now he has the Build sheet from the gas tank. Its a real Z28. I wish I would have jumped on this back when it was up for auction the first time. This guy bought it for $22,500. Now its got a 454 in it. I asked him for the rear end axle stamping, said he would get it but has never replied.

Even with the broadcast copy confirming it's a Z/28, $60k is a big ask as it sits.... but a great buy (taking a chance before dropping the tank) at $22.5k
|
Well, apparently the seller has come to Jesus a bit and dropped the price to $29,500.

lol...numbers matching 454
Looks like he invested in lots of black paint and rattle canned the entire engine bay and underside. Too bad the guy can't restore it and enjoy it rather than try and be the flip star. |

According to pictures in ad, box #155 on build sheet says RPO "G" for engine. Mopar broadcast sheets are very easily decoded, but I can't find any good Camaro info. What is a "G" engine? Thanks
|
Now that's a glossy tailpanel!
G is Z28. |
