That car is road worthy. Don't let him kid ya. I know who did the motor and what that car is capable of.
Only reason it is a trailer "queen" is because Benny is the "King" of the mountain and does not have time to drive it plus he owns 2 race cars. Buy it to drive and show! No issues there.

enio45 03-16-2018 01:29 AM

that is nice....pics of the trailer?

bbbenny 03-16-2018 11:44 AM

Hi Guys, if you want pics of the trailer. Here;s my cell number, 610-751-1811. And I;ll text you some pics of the trailer. Thanks for looking at the ad! BBBenny

lowmile 03-17-2018 01:35 AM

Heck I cant stop looking at the ad....

Salvatore 03-19-2018 02:56 AM

This set up has your name all over it lowmile! Come on up and the cheesesteaks and Zeps are on us.

Salvatore 03-19-2018 12:12 PM

Contact Benny for some info on his "vintage" Day-2 parts that would look perfect on this nova.

For the guys that really enjoy their cars, with a little work this nova I believe would run in the low 12's easy.

A set of tubes, T-bars and a 4.56 gear with some 9" tires and a Hurst shifter your golden. Recurve the distributor and play with the carb jets your there. Throw some 90/10's upfront while you are at it.

*Drive it to the track, uncork the headers and make some runs! Just like the old days!

One more thing..........Last but not least, treat that nova to a set of Cragars too.

mockingbird812 03-19-2018 01:06 PM

Yeah Sammy, now you're talking!!! Great vision!

lowmile 03-19-2018 06:08 PM

That thing is keeping me up at night. somebody please buy it.

Salvatore 03-20-2018 03:22 AM

make BBBenny and offer lowmile! I heard ALL the vintage Day-2 parts will go with that nova too.

Salvatore 03-20-2018 08:42 PM

CONFIRMED by the Professor.

ALL DAY 2 "vintage parts" included with the nova to sweeten the pot.
T-Bars, shocks, Slicks, you name it. Contact Benny for the complete list!

How in the world can you go wrong on this deal?
Day 2 that green car and go do some match racing with the other guys on the Site at the Reunion.

Would be nice to see a nova dust some doors off the camaro's and chevelle's for a change.

Salvatore 03-23-2018 06:39 PM

Bump

ruralrte66 03-23-2018 08:48 PM

Man I would love to have a Nova like that.
Price sure don't seem out of alien either.

livettes 03-23-2018 08:58 PM

I don't want to hi jack Benny's thread but if you want to see a Nova dust off about anything that lines up beside it. Come to the Reunion and watch Tom Clary run his Deuce!
Or the yellow Mascar Deuce! Both will be there. Both Deep in the 10's.
Jamie

Salvatore 03-24-2018 11:50 AM

Hey Jamie, are you forgetting that red B/MP nova the Professor has? Maybe a 3 way match race could take place.
Anyhow.............lets get his green L78 nova sold. Perfect for some Spring cruises and stop light fun.

What SAMMY says!!! (If’n I was you, I’d put the full court press on Eddie!) ;>)

WILMASBOYL78 03-24-2018 01:08 PM

Benny's Nova..

I'll jump back in on this car since the discussion is so lively

I sold the car to Benny and saw the work and parts that went into the restoration. The trophies and awards tell the story...it is a very nice car with a good running motor. Born with rear and tranny, buildsheet...no drama.

As for the Day 2 components...well, I'll leave that to the 'aftermarket sales specialist Mr. Sammy...he does a better job than I can.

Hope this green beauty finds a new home and is enjoyed for many years to come.

Right on Tommy!

livettes 03-24-2018 03:00 PM

I would never forget The Dutchman. It would be a good race. Back to what this thread is all about. The green car would make someone very very happy.

Curious, is the side trim (narrow piece along belt line) a factory option or dealer/owner installed?

If you were to remove this, would the paint below it buff out? Thanks

WILMASBOYL78 03-30-2018 01:59 AM

paint not trim..

That is not trim...it is pin-striping. The custom exterior package included the white pin-striping on dark colored paint and a dark treatment on light colored cars. On Benny's car I know who did the application...because it was done on our Cortez Silver 69 L78. Most restorations rarely get this correct...and there was no paint between the rocker trim on dark paint cars.

**this option was available on a Nova...not just the SS version.

Change the title of this ad to "Three for One sale!" and let's get it DONE!!!!

Schonyenko2 04-09-2018 03:38 PM

If anyone has a thought about wanting a top gun car like this, you should buy this one. This was a no expense spared build. Benny doesn't cut corners. The cost to restore a project Nova to this level would be well above what Benny is asking.

We are proud to have done the paint and body work on this car, and were gratified to see it achieve both gold spinner, and top gun awards at Chicago.

I know Benny loves this car, and hates to let it go, but there is something else possibly waiting in the wings. And like the lovely 1st lady says, "damn it, you can't keep them all"

mockingbird812 04-09-2018 03:55 PM

:haha: Yeah, I can hear her saying that!! Great car to be sure. Schonye's done one for me and it blew me away (blew the MCACN judges away too as the best Chevy and 998/1000!)

Salvatore 04-09-2018 07:38 PM

many know this car (soup to nuts) on this Site. No issues or stories to tell. Probably one of the easiest buys a person can make. You can Day-2 it over a weekend "if you want" and have your self a show winner with some snot!
I do not think you will even have to wipe it off.
