New Day 2 look for my 70 Z
5 Attachment(s)
Took the Cragar and BFG off and went with US Mag Indy Sprints. 15 x 5 in front with a 6.70 tire for the front and 15 x 8 in the back with L-60 Mickeys. Hi Jacker air shocks, with Ansen Ground Grabber traction bars. No sure what I am going to do next, but I am pretty happy with the stance and look for now.
That is a VERY nice look. You nailed it! Thanks for sharing with us!
Yeah ! killer car !!!
I agree its a Killer looking car !!
Looks great! And love the full one piece front bumper. I know I'm generally in the minority, but I can't stand the split bumperettes on a non-RS car, ugh.
Well done and nice building!
Nice!!!
BIG |
Awesome sign in the background of the first picture . Killer Camaro also
Thanks everyone, A couple of things
1. I agree a split bumper Camaro is cool, but not when you just put bumperettes on, the turn signal lights and nose are still wrong! JMO 2. Cuming county is a real place in Nebraska. Left over from my brothers college days there in the early 80's 3. I will post with my next add ons, as soon as I figure out what is next. I will stay true to early 1970's parts. |
Can't wait! Maybe some under the hood or cockpit renovations?
Awesome look..an L-88 hood would really set it off.
Agree with whitetop; no hood looks better on a second gen Camaro than an L88
I like the L88 hoods I have one on mine 79 Z, I will check I think I have one more.
I just say no to the Cowl induction hood on the early 70-73 Camaros. |
Beautiful day 2 Camaro.
X2 for the L88 Hood. They look just right on 2nd gen Camaros |
Absolutely nailed it!
L88 hood would be my suggestion too. Or a 'Grump Lump' ... Maybe some decals on the windows? Dan |
Love the early second generation Zees; wish I had one. Looks great by the way.
Yes on the L88 !!! The yellow 2nd gen in Gumball Rally comes to mind !
The silver car goes great with those wheels (or is it the other way around?):hmmm:

A friend of mine had this L-88 hood that was installed on his Z-28 back in the mid 70's. That is the Pontiac Blue color on it sprayed out in 1977 or so.
He recently took it off to restore his car. |

The hood back in the day. The BB was taken out and the original sb was reinstalled.
I personally like the factory hood
Very clean lines and with hood and trunk strips It gives the car a classic look |

pulled my other L88 hood out today and dropped it off at the painters. I do not know what brand it is, it is not one of the new one though.
It is an early one because of the chopper gun finish underneath.
Unlimited Fiberglass Products?
Next order of business, what shifter should I use? It has the factory Hurst shifter now.
I will not use a Ramrod or anything that will require floor modifications. The car is a 4 speed no console car. |

I may have to buy a set of those wheels.

Here are some shifter options, Mickey Thompson, P&G, AF/X Jc Penney, Mr Gasket, And B&M.
Nice selection of options :cool2:!! Love the no console! Am partial to the T-handles as it is hard to miss a shift and it looks "all business"!:3gears:
That B&M looks pretty cool, as does that Mr. Gasket. Can't go wrong with the straight up stick.
