Anti Dieseling Solenoid switch bracket
A friend of mine is looking for a anti dieseling switch bracket for a 1969 L78, L72 and L89 engine with automatic trans. Some people refer to it as an idle stop solenoid also. He is needing it for a Yenko Chevelle. It is illustrated in the 69 Chevelle assembly manual on I think page 442. I used the only one I had on my COPO Chevelle and I know they aren't easy to come by but I thought I would start here. Please message me here or call 217-620-3405

Here it is. Good luck finding one.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have one for my Copo Chevelle but I sold a friend an automatic Yenko Chevelle 20 plus years ago and we are looking for one for it.

i have a guy that can do them...hes a buddy of a buddy and he does a lot of repop work for him..anything metal...it would be best just to get in touch with my buddy, and let him have at it...but he needs one for a pattern..

Thanks for the help Mark. One of the challenges here is getting an original to borrow long enough to reproduce. I have one on my COPO Chevelle but it is also a reproduction from many years ago when my buddy had them reproduced (I wish I had purchased 10 back then instead of just one). I hate try to reproduce from a reproduction and that means pulling it from my car also. We may have to end up going that route though. If you could send me the contact info for the person named above I would appreciate it. You can private message if you prefer. Thanks again

i linked him here..i will get you his info..he's done a ton of things for the Buick community no one else would tackle..

i linked him here..and he's pretty confident he can do it...i sent you his number

I can make one Id bet. But how many people would want them? Quantity dictates price. I would want to see better pictures before I got excited. I make a lot of stuff for the Buick GS crowd.

I can get you good pictures of the reproduction one I have but I can't say how many you might sell. I will say they are hard to find and a friend of mine that has dealt in rare high performance parts for decades told me the other day that he has NEVER had even one of them to sell. All of the 1969 Copo and L78 automatic Chevelles, Novas and Camaros used this bracket and almost always are gone when the cars are found.

Anyone had any luck over the last 5-6 years? Lol. I just now realized that I don’t have this for our Yenko and am somewhat concerned by the lack of what I’m finding.
Is anyone currently reproducing these? |
