'66 V8 Corvair
Unfortunately not what you think...this one's a '66 on a '77 B-body chassis. At least it's going cheap (currently $1400 @ no reserve).
Might be cool if you could do something about the stance. The 4x4 look is just bad. Link to 1966 V8 Corvair auction https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/JAgAA...Y6/s-l1600.jpg |
Damn, I was hoping this would be one of the Crown conversions. I actually passed on a Crown V8 car in the ‘90’s that was priced VERY reasonably to me and always regretted not pulling the trigger on it!
Mark, was it a maroon 66 with a 4 speed you passed on? in arnold?
Funny you mention Arnold cuz I actually live in Arnold. But no, this car was blue up in STL county.
there was a kid on the back roads off tenbrook that had a maroon crown car..for 2k in the 90s..
its just been too long i cant remember the back roads names anymore..or the kids... |
I grew up just one block over from Tenbrook and my parents are still there. I think I have a friend that mentioned the car you speak of.
what happened to the 62 belair bubble in arnold..the guy worked at autozone... in the 90s on by starling airport
right there on jeffco and starling is a small car lot..in the 70s a guy working there was a big buick racer..he had stage2 stuff..i wonder what happened to him..buick was feeding him stuff thru the back door..i cant even remember his name anymore

$5500 is a bit much for something that needs a lot of attention to be a nice looking car. The wagon wheels don't help it a bit. They look like trailer wheels.

Posted this before, but here are my friend Marv Bookman's Corvairs. Small block and 409 done the way GM would have. https://i.ibb.co/K7sQ7ts/13226701-10...47048206-n.jpg
Is he running reverse roatation engines? I believe the alternative is to flip the final drive around and run the gears backwards.
Correct sir ! Reverse rotation engines. The convertible is a joy to drive. The Dual Quad 409 is a beast !
I am thinking the small block is beast enough.
