The Crunchy Cuda: MCACN 2078??
1 Attachment(s)
Lets see: Barn built? Yuh-huh. Shops done? Sorta. House built? Yep. Bank account exhausted? Ha! So what's one to do? Why, buy another car!:biggthumpup:
Yes, I've boughtened (boughtened?:hmmm:) another project car that epitomizes what 1970 was all about: big motors, big horsepower, and big fun things that shake! While the Crusty Cuda restoration is postponed, er... slow to start due to helping a buddy out who lost cars in a shop fire, I've acquired her big brother with the hopes of bringing it to MCACN sometime in the future after Crusty. Hey? How's about a double unveiling?!:dunno: Why Crunchy? Well, Crusty has some rust, but Crunchy is, well... pretty Crunchy. But, it's a worthy project for an idiot like me! Enter 440 cubic inches of Mopar madness and top it with a trio of thirsty Holley carbs, and put the icing on top of that with a big scoop that shakes and bounces like a pair of lost puppies in a tight sweater. Yes, a simple math equation from basic Algebra says B5/V1W+H6XW(V+D21+N96×A33)70BS23= BtotheB So that equates to a B5 Blue, White top, White interior, with a 440-6bbl, Hemi 4spd, Shaker Hood, 3.54 Track Pack Dana axle on a 1970 Cuda which equals Bad to the Bone! More to come on this colossal financial flop of a decision!! Cheers:beers: Super Dave Shaker Dave Stupid Dave |
Very cool Dave. Doesn't look like anything you can't handle...
|
Nice find! Which cuda do you start with?
|
Nice color combination.
|
That bad boy ticks all the boxes!!!
You will finally have something to do in your spare time. Ryan W31 |
Although I’m a chevy guy Dave’s my hero!
|
She'll be done by the Fall :)
Dan |
That's a nice one!
|
Thanks guys!! I appreciate the comments and compliments!
The Fall??:hmmm: I don't know about that, Danno. You coming down to help? You might be careful doing that since I may have you help me put in more fence! But but, heck....I'll give it a shot! :eek2: And Bill, good question on which one to do first and it'll be the 340 Shaker that gets the pole positon with some fresh PPG on it. At least that's the plan for now. More to come with such memorable moments as, "Is the plural of Cuda, Cudii??" And, "How come I started with two cars now only have parts to finish one!?" Cheers,:beers: Dave |
You need a television show!!!! Love your posts and projects !!
Gary |
Congrats on another Dave. So, just out of pure curiosity, why the blue one before the purple one?
|
Ha! Well, Gary... I'll have videos on the next build for your entertainment!
Mark, Purple first... then Blue!:3gears: Cheers Dave |
Great color combo I love B5 Blue over white with a 440 shaker what more could one ask for?
|
Nice Fish Dave! Does it have the stripe? Loving the hole in the hood :^)

'Bout time you got back to the garage. I know, excuses, excuses...fences, wells, horse barns, driveways, landscaping, house building bla-bla-bla.
With that being said, the 2020 Unveiling of the unidentical "twins" has been confirmed with MCACN management. As you well know, great things come in pairs! Bashton Master of MCACN Mayhem |
Thanks Jim! Yeah...V5X.... black side molding with pinstripe around it:grin: So be prepared for even more questions.
2020 for both cars? My SuperDave moniker would have to be elevated to a SuperDooperDavinator status that even I don't think I can live up too! Now, 2078 like my original post states is quite doable.:cool2: Email of magnitudinal, apocalyptic, and boobonical proportions awaits your inbox, oh MasterMeister of Mechanical MuscleCar Machine Menageries! Er... something like that:dunno: Cheers:beers: Dave |
Ahhh V5X. At least on a 'Cuda it's a stick on. On Challengers it is a lot of drilled holes on the beltline.
|
in your spare time, Dave! :) Congrats bud

I forgot to ask, is that the new garage in the background of the B5 blue car?
|
Ha! Thanks guys! No, that's not my shop Lawrence. But, I'm headed over to the 737 captain now so you know what that means? More CLT overnights and Mac's BBQ! Or... what was the other place you mentioned?:hmmm:
I gotta start on one of these......SOOOON! cheers:beers: Dave |
Congrats buddy!! Great job!
Glad to hear we will be hanging out more on your overnights. That means the Charger will be picking you up providing it is not raining! We are going to do the brewery tour in South End. Probably start at Victory and roll from there. |
Dave,
Congrats on the upgrade. You know what that means, more $$ and more $tuff and more $*!T on the job. Anyway, it will certainly help with the hobby. Looking forward to more on-line restoration narratives. Phil Woj. |
That'll work, Lawrence! Looking forward to it!
Thanks Phil. Seems like it was just yesterday when we met, stuffed ourselves into that Jurrasic Jet Diesel-9 headed to Cedar Rapids to check out Duffy's Classic Cars when I was a newhire, huh? Can't wait to start back into getting these Cudii on the road and getting these threads back to the top of the Yenko Watch lists!:scholar::thumbsdown::wink: Cheers SuperDave |
