I see the 635276 VIN on a list w/ 9561BA + 72 Paint + 711 but know nothing of what may be original of any car existing today? I also have a handful of old Edmonton Newspaper ads saved for what may be the same car being sold a few times used from 1970-74 w/ different Phone #'s that may help if anyone wants to try backtracking. Here's an ad from the July 20/71 Edmonton Journal, sure sounds like an L72 M40 car?:hmmm: :beers: ~ Pete . |
GM Canada docs are different than mine. Descriptions of springs, etc. are different
|
and that window sticker...?
|
Cowl seal, wrong valve covers, temp sender hooked to wireloom. What’s with the pink wire running up the intake? Wrong harness?
|
Lh manifold is later style.

Mecum Harrisburg 2019 Lot S122 - '69 Camaro RS L72/M40 Sold @ $165,000 Looking forward to hearing more about the originality of this one. It could be fine and hopefully so but #'s and Paperwork aside, best always keep in mind Canada Paperwork is often a Red Herring for cars best considered guilty until proven otherwise. :beers: ~ Pete . |
15" Rally wheels with no mention or photo of the speedo. 9651 cars came with 14" steelies, rally wheels with 9737 COPO, 140mph speedo.
Hmmm? |
While the steel wheels 14"x7" were standard with 9560 and 9561 COPO Camaro, you "could" have ordered Rally Wheels in the same size as an option.

Hello, I am interested in the info and newspapers you may have on this car? Thanks
|
Left rear quarter shape is weird.

Here's an 08/69 ad that may be the car w/ original owner, there's a few more in my old system I'll try to find/post later. Whether you have the N635276 car or another, we'd all love to see/hear more of it also welcome aboard! :beers: ~ Pete . |
Newspaper Ad
I'd like to hear the story on the 69 Corvette in that ad. That's twice the price of a new 69 Corvette. Must have been something special.

Noticed that too and wondered if an L88 as wouldn't a ZL1 'Vette list over 10 thou? Haven't found the other Edmonton ads yet but here's one from 11/74 w/ what may be a 9561 traded into a Winnipeg Mazda dealer? :beers: ~ Pete . |
I think that L88 only added a little over $1000 to the price of a 69 Corvette.
|
Hello, Yes I would be interested in any of the papers and numbers you have for this car. is there another way to get a hold of you?
|
The Yellow ZL1 which was a "executive car" with a little mileage ( few thousand) on it sold for somewhere close to that number from the dealer. Hechler?
One would think if the above car were a Motion or ZL1, or the like it would have stated HiPo in the ad. |

Found a couple ads in my old system but both 4-Spds. so not likely the subject car. Here they are anyway as they may jive w/ others we're searching in the future. :beers: ~ Pete . |

Pete, these advertisements you find are true treasures. Thanks for posting.

There was an RS Copo in these colours that came out of Edmonton and was restored local to me.
It was a tubbed, caged race car and was then restored back to original. If I were interested in this car I'd have someone knowledgeable do a thorough inspection on the car to ensure I knew what I was purchasing. |
