Couple of weeks ago we got to run our Day 2 chevelle at Roadkill Nights in Pontiac MI. We had a private test and tune at Lapeer Dragway a few days prior to get ready for the event. The Chevelle has a couple of minor issues at the T&T but nothing a few new V belts couldn't fix (going to switch to a serpentine set up soon) Highlight of the event besides seeing my sons reaction to us racing (he truly made me feel like a superhero) was beating up on a new Hellcat twice! Will post more pics once I get them downsized some to load. If you haven't been to Roadkill Nights I HIGHLY recommend you go!

AGREED. Something about the old bodies and style that just make them stand out in the crowd.

I actual have "OLDESKOL" as the plate on my 1967 BB 427 Nova SS.

Well done -

I'd be interested in some data, too, if you are at liberty to share.

Thanks guys! This was really the first time the car had been raced. Unfortunately at Roadkill Nights they did not post times or hand out time slips. Rough guess watching the videos we ran low to mid 8's in the 1/8th mile track they had. We only made 1 attempted pass at Lapeer before braking the alternator belt that knocked off the power steering belt. The car is relatively mild built 408 BBC LS5 cylinder heads that have been worked over. Holley 770 Street Avenger, Comp Cams Thumper 275 cam. Have a 2800 stall converter and a 3.42 rear gear.
