Check out what showed up at the shop today... IT's real with factory shipper and quite well equipped, 05A X22 L78 M21 3.73 with HD cooling, PS PB, exterior trim, interior decor, floor mats, door edge guards, rallys, redlines, gauges, console, 12.65 black paint charge, he bought the car in the early 80's.
I should have taken more pictures... he is restoring a 69 350 4 spd pacer and we talked about it for ever. |
That is probably the perfect Camaro and those are the only pics ? I'm thinkin we should ban you until you come up with more pics and info..........

What a beauty! Anything on the docs about the red hockey stick stripe? Anybody know if that was automatically applied with a black/red car?
|
Great question. Many years ago I had a 1969 SS 396 350hp Camaro with original Black paint and Black Hounds tooth interior that had a factory Red stripe. The car was nothing special and I assumed the Red SS stripe came with the Black exterior as a default.

Where are the redline tires?

Awesome color combo, especially with the red line tires as original docs show. I really favor the stripe matching interior color choice, as well as the tire choice, it kind of ties it all together. A local girl in Lakewood had an original black '69 Camaro SS 350 car with Red hockey stripe & Ivory interior back in the '70's!

I love the silver grill- really pops with black car too.

I should be shot for not taking more photos, like I said we were busy talking about the pacer he is restoring PLUS  we were in the shop looking at the 9561 I am painting.
He drives it to cars and coffee a few times a year so I will get more. He is on the crg board hasn't posted photos... I said you should post photos no one cares exactly how correct, the car is real with paper. FWIW white and Silver with red interior got a red stripe (MONZA RED) - another local guy has a 69 cortez over red he is restoring it now. |

That's correct and appears to be Monza Red... |

To those waiting for pictures or a back story about this car, I spend most of my time in the garage, I’m welding a rust bucket of a Pacecar back together. Curing cancer one panel at a time... Rich |
That's beautiful. One of my top 3 color combos for sure.

Most of our yards are long gone and sold out when the price of scrap metal rose in the late 2000's.Except for Victory Auto of course, but they have nothing older than 1995 and are 1/3rd the size they used to be,but they poured a concrete foundation so no more mud.
The southside Gold mine yards....Don's Towing,Cal Sag,Bob Billys and Canal Auto are all history.Globe Auto,(now in a different location) & O'Hare are still here but not at all as we used to know them from just a few years ago. It's all about the environment and moving cars out quicker than ever. They don't get the older 1960's-70's-80's cars coming in anymore & plus they don't really want them as they take up space and just sit & sit. |

Spent a lot of time at Cal Sag back in the mid 80's. Had many intact 50's, 60's and 70's Chevrolets. Pulled tons of small parts like window cranks, headlights, hardware, etc. |
