be gentle it's my first time
Hey folks-
I am thinking of hoping on a plane Saturday AM from Philadelphia to O'hare. Yes only 1 day that's all my PO will give me (love you Cindy) Is there a shuttle i can get at the airport straight to venue and than back in the afternoon? Yes a quick visit, but i don't talk alot. Thanks as always! |
----I would think if you catch a shuttle to the host hotel which is literally right across the street from the show you would be in excellent shape!.....Bill S

Short run from O'Hare to Rosemount Convention Center. If no shuttle (there are plenty of hotel shuttles) an Uber or Taxi should be reasonable. Come on down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
It is 5 minutes away so just Uber or cab. Be sure to post here after the show on how you are kicking yourself for not staying longer :-)
|
Just tell the shuttle driver you're going to the Hilton across from the convention center...Joe

Get ready for some Major muscle car overload..your going to love it. best Detroit iron in the world!!

If you get on the "L" the convention center is the first stop after leaving the airport. The "L" is about three dollars each way. I take the "L" rather than wait for the shuttle.
|
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,The "L" to MCACN is one of our best kept secrets. :)
|
Gonna be my 1st time also ! making a road trip out of it, hopefully getting in town Fri am. Cant wait !!!
|
I won't tell about the L!

Thanks to all who chimed in; great responses.
One of the best aspects of the show, (other than what is within the walls) is the access. As many said, there are several options to get from the airport to the venue. The Hilton shuttles run non stop and as stated, the Hilton, Embassy, DoubleTree and Hyatt are all directly across the street. Great to have you joining us! Bashton |
Chris, et. al.,
When you arrive in O’Hare, just follow the signs to ground transportation. It’s a bit of a maze getting out of the terminal, but enjoy the sights as it’s all decorated for the Holidays! It gets you that much more excited!:cool2: Catch any of the shuttles that go to the surrounding hotels, but your best bet is take the Hyatt Regency. It’s the largest shuttle and usually has the most room in it....you can’t miss it. When you walk out of the doors for the bus stops from the terminal, there are 5 doors. The Hyatt usually picks up at the first door. It’s been a bit since I’ve had an overnight there, and since that airport is always under construction, that may have changed. Regardless...take the Hyatt Regency Rosemont shuttle. Get off the shuttle and just walk to the convention center (inside walkway if it’s raining or snowing!). Dial “91” on your phone and hand it to your buddy, and when your eyeballs explode, have them dial the other “1”.:headbang: Cheers Dave |
Thanks for all the info folks!
Now i am from the Pine Barrens in NJ and not a city boy by any stretch so question. If i am not staying at the hotel, won't they ask when i get on the shuttle, or am i giving them too much credit? |

We pretty much take over the entire city of Rosemont. Even the Mayor participates! lol BA |
i was going to use Abe Froman
|
Abe Froman doesn't even use Abe Froman.
