I stayed there a few years ago. It's OK and the walk isn't bad, there is a parking garage to cut through (if it's raining or snowing) and they have a shuttle.

Call me Jeff I may have an extra room.

OK; as of today, we have availability at the aLoft for Thursday and Friday ONLY. They have sold out Sat and sunday.

We did make arrangements with the Comfort Inn O’Hare Convention Centre, which is about 5 miles away. They have agreed to shuttle our participants and spectators door to door. The rate there is $89 per night + tax.

This one is not in the entertainment district and is not within walking distance. They do have free parking and limited space for trailers also.

I have a room at the Crowne Plaza down the street but would prefer the Double Tree.

Not intending to Hijack OP , but Bob brought up shuttle service and I have to ask:
I’m approximately 6 miles South of the Convention Center. Here is the final step in the driving directions from Convention. Center to motel:

6. Merge onto US-12 E/US-45 S/Mannheim Rd
Pass by Best Western Plus O'Hare International South Hotel (on the left in 3.5 mi)
Destination will be on the right

Motel is The Regal Inn, 2448 N Mannheim rd Franklin Park

Will a shuttle be available?
If not, can we unhook trailer at Conv.Center and drive truck back and forth?

The Crowne is right next to the DoubleTree, and both are directly across the street.

The Comfort Inn O'Hare is advertised as being 1.5 miles away, and they are offering direct shuttle. Rate is $85 per night and as of this morning, they had availability. Go to our website www.mcacn.com to the hotels page for contact info.

I am not aware of any shuttle service way out there. Uber is probably your best bet.

You will be able to drop your trailer in one of our trailer parking lots. They are not in and out lots, and are both locked down at night.

If I was you, I'd cancel that reservation and get something closer to the convention center like the one noted above that is offering free shuttle service. Anything you save at the one you booked will most likely be burned up in gas and parking fees IMO.

Im at the Hyatt Regency, is that close or does that require a shuttle??

Hyatt Regency, Rosemont? Oh, let’s see....wake up, scratch your hiney, take the elevator downstairs to get some breakfast, stand up, turn and walk the gangway to the show. Done!:biggthumpup:

Im at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare 9300 Bryn Mawr Ave in Rosemont.

I'm also at the Hyatt. No need to ever go outside if you don't want to. You can walk over Saturday morning and buy your tickets and walk right into the show wearing a T shirt and shorts if you want to.

This is my first show after wanting to go since it's inception. I'm at the Hyatt also.

Here's the Plus 15 level walkways from the hotels and parking lot into the convention center. Just in case you're wearing shorts. Or one can just cross the street. :tongue:

Thanks Bob! Took your advice and was able to cancel my initial hotel and rebook at the Comfort Inn. I hope some of the Hyatt guys and other guys at adjoining hotels invite me over for a drink or something(hint,hint)?

Just show up either evening in the lobby of the Doubletree...….you'll find plenty of friendly car show people hanging out.
