rear axle date range
Hey folks-
Yes another date question. what is acceptable/documented date range verses build date for a 02A VN Camaro? is what i have too far out at BM 1021G1? thanks in advance as always. |
I would say thats too far out. My VN car is 1016 and was built 11B.
I would say more December- January time frame. |
My 02B SS (feb 13th build) has a feb 6 BS rear

My 04B has a 0331G2 date. A bit less than 2 weeks less than the car's build.
Maybe a bit more lee-way on early-mid January cars. They were stocking parts and the line startup was slow. By February the line was starting to flow better and large parts were more just-in-time. |
Rear ends are usually within a couple weeks sometimes days of the car build

03D car assembly date with BU0311 axle & B259 casting on the Pace car that I am restoring.

10D Z28 BV 1031
04C Z28 BV 0418 05A L78 BU 0424 01B L72 BE 0119 The BV and BE axles seem to be dated closest to the car build. Seems like the plants were WAITING ON 4.10 12 bolt posi's. IIRC I don't think I have seen an original 1969 car with a 4.10 which dates further out than 2 weeks or so prior. |
My 11c l78 is 11 13 BV
