Us as well...He also had a lot of tragic things happen in his life, death of daughter Selena to a car accident and death of wife Jacqueline to cancer 10 months later. His drumming was awesome but his literary style and lyrics to the music blew me away... Fortunate that we were able to see him and Rush quite a few times live. Rest in peace Neil |
Saw their last tour with my son and it was their 40th was awesome. Rest in peace Neil

Such a loss
I will relish his talent and remember Him and his cohorts in music. They gave me hope, my understanding of My Life and “My Rock an Roll” Say what you will but my opinion “ The best group Ever” Condolences to all We have lost a great One but not his “ Beat” Joe |
Best drummer ever. RIP, Sir.

|
RIP. We’re only a month apart in age. A bit frightening when a famous contemporary passes.
|
Brain cancer for three years! Bummer. He had a new wife and young daughter.
Make everyday count |
ONE THE BEST DRUMMERS of all time without a doubt.
Whenever Rush played in Cleveland he would ride his motorcycle down State Route 94 through Medina County, into Amish Country and stop in Beach City/Tuscarawas County for a bite to eat and then ride back to Cleveland. RIP. Rich |
Rush & Cleveland....Thanks to Donna Halper @ WMMS for breaking the band. Legends...Sad to hear...RIP Mr Pert..
BIG |
Ah, fellow NE Ohio guys.
Saw them at Richfield, Signals tour. I was around 14 or 15 years old. Tickets were cheap,,as was,ah,other entertainment. Big Rush fan back in the day. Still timeless great music. Wonderful times to be a teen back then! In the flatlands of Cleveland. Watched a Rush doc on Netflix about a year ago, forgot the name, but it's out there. |
An incredible loss. Neil was a fluid drumming machine. So versatile, precise. I've seen them on tour a few times. Amazing what 3 guys can do live. His talents will be missed.

One of a kind..
We use to sit in the back behind the band when they played Capital Center, Landover MD just see what HE was doing. |

..."The documentary recounted Glen’s memories of the day a white Corvette arrived at his dealership with an offer for Neil to audition for the still-struggling band. Just days before, as the band was getting ready for a small U.S. tour, Rush parted ways with its original drummer. After an impressive audition, this parts manager decided to “fly by night” away from the dealership — right before harvest, no less."
