Member fee billed twice?
 
Hello,

I tried to PM the Administrator, but the mailbox was full.

I was automatically billed twice, the site drew two payments of $25.00 automatically from my PayPal account. Is this a glitch affecting others?

Could I get one payment refunded or applied to next year's fee?

The reason most are billed twice is you set your PayPal to annual recurring billing, and then you manually make a payment. If this occurs let me know and I will refund. I do check the PayPal account and issue refunds as well.

Hi Paul,


It looks like you accidentally set up two recurring payments. One 1/16/18 & again 1/14/2019. I canceled the 1/14/19 recurring payment and refunded the $25 payment. Moving forward you will only be automatically billed on 1/16 every year until you cancel.


Just an FYI you are the only one that is authorized (has the ability) to set up recurring automatic payments. I can cancel a recurring payment only.

Chevyman0429 you set up a paypal recurring automatic payment on 1/10/18 and you are automatically paying your membership once a year. You are not paying twice. You have paid 1/10/18 then 1/10/19 and most recently 1/10/20. Any questions let me know.

I don't show any recent paypal payments from you. Your paid membership renewal is 4/5/20 and last payment I received was on 4/5/19.

I was billed two times as well but Steve reimbursed 25.00 but then it drew it back out again so I just figured I would donate to the cause..

Steve, I also had two $25 payments deducted from paypal.

I think what has happened is some of us were sent an invoice to pay in the past years and the invoice was an automatic recurring payment. Then the following year another invoice was sent and this too was an ongoing auto payment. I fixed the auto payment in my PayPal account as there were two auto payments active.

I checked the Paypal Log and you paid $25 last March and your renewal is this March. I only see one $25 payment made last March. If you show another let me know...

Sorry to add to your work, Steve, but it looks like I've paid twice as well. I was having trouble accessing forum functions last month which is why I sent in membership payment on Dec. 3, 2019 . But I see now that my auto pay was set up and last made a payment on Sept. 13, 2019.

Good Morning

I too received another automatic membership billing. I think the second might have been a boo boo on my part. Logged into Paypal and deleted one auto pay. I received conformation from them that one auto pay had been deleted. Sorry for the mix up.

You are correct, your renewal is on May 15th 2020 and is a set up as an auto payment so you don't need to do anything.


I will contact Paypal and log a case asking for a explanation on why you received an alert.

I think the Paypal notification that a payment is becoming due, causes the issue. I'm not sure what says, but it should say: A recurring payment will be processed.

Perhaps you are prompted that a payment is coming due and forgot you already had a recurring payment scheduled and initiate a second /duplicate. Before setting up a second/duplicate check you Paypal account before proceeding. For clarification only YOU can setup payments.
