Thank you all for the well wishes. Unfortunately this was a birthday I am happy to put behind me.

I got sick 4 days ago - typical "summer cold" which left me bed ridden feeling like crap. So I took some OTC cold medicine which definitely helped. But it seems to have somehow interacted with a new medicine I am in the process of taking to abate my Dermatitis from the inside out instead of just using topicals. This interaction has caused a side effect; my right leg and foot swelled to twice normal size. Walking has become very painful, even just to go to the bathroom or the kitchen. So I will call Dr. Rebecca and get an emergency appointment tomorrow.

LOL - reminds me of my 40th birthday - was scheduled to visit Wash. D.C with my mom and son. Broke my left foot the day before leaving me in a cast for 6 weeks.

Well . . . the show must go on. Updates have been a bit sparse the last few days due to my health. As my mom always said . . . . "And this too shall pass."

Have an appointment this afternoon to see my doctor about my leg. The swelling really hasn't gone down at all but the pain is subsiding so that's a positive. She takes such good care of me that just knowing I will see her today has really uplifted my demeanor.

I feel bad about a lack of new posts in my thread. Sitting at my desk is not good for the leg so it's either on the couch or in bed. But I promise once I am back to a semblance of normal they will come. Count on them.

Everyone PLEASE stay safe and well and cherish those around you. I can't even begin to thank my son Alex for all the work he has performed for me. He's become my pair of legs these last 3 days. He never complains and is always willing to help me. Last night as a birthday gift he sat with me for an hour rubbing lotion on my leg. We had a great time reminiscing about things we had done in the past together. Please spend some quality time with loved ones. Focus on them. It makes all the difference in the world.
