Now that's a cruise that I'd like to attend. Too bad it's too far away for me.

Burd 08-06-2020 02:22 PM

I need a magnet Trump sign, any info. Pm me.

It's not too far for you! I've been 7-8 times! It's something you need to do.

I’m glad someone picked up the cruise, even though it says 12-4, I really don’t think they can stop it. I posted this on a all Pontiac forum, they took it down. Thanks for keeping it up, it wasn’t meant to be Political. Just saving the worlds largest car event.

scuncio 08-06-2020 11:54 PM

This event is happening regardless. Personally I hate the idea of bringing politics into any car gathering. Toxic....

Burd 08-07-2020 12:03 AM

I’m glad it’s happening no matter who jumped in, our Gov ruined everything so far.
Now that GM and Chrysler is out, it’s better. Thing is, neither didn’t step in and make it happen.

Lynn 08-07-2020 01:23 AM

Cars first. Politics second. I don't care who is sponsoring, hopefully the thread stays up.

And I would say the same thing if it were being sponsored by the other side.

Burd 08-07-2020 01:43 AM

For those that live far away, I can gab a few shirts, pm me I head up on Sunday and their like 1/2 off.

Burd 08-07-2020 08:13 PM

My girl has a new GoPro, I plan on doing a video from 9 mile all the way to the Loop in Pontiac. I can then put it on YouTube to post here. Stay tuned.

Commendable Lynn. Why should the thread not stay up? Let everyone follow the rules and no discussion of politics.

So lets talk cars!

Both candidates like cars and that's fantastic news. Here is a couple of cars each own that we can all identify with:

Joe owns a Corvette
Don owns a Camaro

I’ll try to do a video from 9 mile showing the place that have survived all these years, like whitmores, at 9.5, still has the Chrysler with wobbly wheels up in their sign, it’s a frame/ alignment shop. Straighten wheels too. Vinsetta garage, now a yuppie restaurant, Shrine of the little flower church at 12 mile, still there, but totem pole is now a Burger King, Big Boys, where they shot the GTO VOE exhaust commercial is gone, Susie Q is gone, Ted’s is gone, java junction, onion roll deli all gone. Onion Roll is now the OWL restaurant, the sign is still there.

What an awesome day for the DC, hazy and cool til around noon. There were no traffic jambs till around noon also. I love it with all the out of towners not here, and no Corp BS either. The big 3 didn’t show any cars, they can keep out of it for all I care, no ch 7 coverage, no wOoomc radio coverage, they all tried to ruin the cruise, it was perfect. Best one in years.
No shirts, except for Trump stuff, they all missed out too, I didn’t shoot any video, no one seemed interested, there were people driving around with masks on, I guess to protect that nOS dash, lol. If you didn’t go, you missed a good one.

mssl72 08-17-2020 08:08 PM

Didja get any good pics at all??

Burd 08-17-2020 08:48 PM

Not really, my daughter promised to bring her GoPro, she forgot to bring it to my place, even M1 complex was quiet, I love the no sponsors, like Scuncio says, they are just problems. They think they make it all happen, as you can see this year, no.

Burd 08-17-2020 09:04 PM

The city of Pontiac was pretty crazy, there were huge burnout areas on the loop area, beer and dope smoking goin on up there, lol. The Widetracker Pontiac cub was there In Pontiac as usual, I didn’t see the Chevy SS club.

Videos are Here:

To give the thread the best chance of staying up I am going to leave the video links cold. Since everyone knows this event was put on by one political party you can expect to see a certain viewpoint if you click so be warned in advance.

It really wasn’t put on by a group, it was put on by everyone that came, it would have happened anyway. I was going regardless
That’s so funny, the GTO missing the shaker,( 3rd video) I was driving next to him on fri night. Lmao

x33rs 08-18-2020 02:45 PM

So where was the cruise? I can't open the link. Sounds cool that someone is stepping in and doing something.

A few of us have been putting on our own impromptu cruises since so many were cancelling. They have turned into rather large gatherings.

markinnaples 08-18-2020 05:33 PM

Wow, it looks like every new Charger and Challenger in the northern hemisphere was there, lol. Loved all the second gen Camaros, esp. that candy red looking one with the big flares. Thanks for posting them.

The area is full of the dang things. And they're the new "Mustang Guy" around here.

Burd 08-18-2020 09:33 PM

Ya, someone needs to tell the guys with the newer cars to stay home.
They must talk to Shelby beyond the grave, new Shelby's were there. Lmao
One year we kept track of the chevells, there were tons.
