Thank you for posting...this happened a year ago I think. Not Bob's fault, the track was

too short to be doing this kinda stuff.

The car has been completely rebuilt. It was at MCACN last year.

Bob Riggle lives right up the street from me. He is still very active for his age. I believe he's at least 80 by now, and still building cars.

He's actually working on another "Hemi Under Glass" that is going to be street legal, for Jay Leno. Jay has always wanted to buy one of the Hemi Under Glass cars but he's held off because he can't drive them on the street, so Bob agreed to build him a street legal version. It's pretty cool. He found a very nice Arizona rust free body down in Phoenix to start with not too long ago.

Here's pics from last years Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals....pics taken "after hours"....thanks to Bob Ashton.

The body that's hung over the display is part of the car that rolled with Jay Leno in it....:cool2:

Larry, that's cool that Bob Riggle lives down the street from you.

We need to take a trip up your way soon. It would be cool to get together again!

Any time you want to come up the mountain you're welcome anytime. Bob doesn't mind visitors, he's usually in his shop working on one of those hemi's.
Bob's next door neighbor works with Doris so I get updates on his projects when she comes home from work. lol

It will be good to see you guys!

That Saturday I'll be at the Sally B car show in PV, but should be home the rest of the weekend.

Xplantdad 09-15-2020 04:52 PM

PV, Prescott Valley?

x33rs 09-15-2020 05:21 PM

Yes sir, it's just up the road from my house. Where Safeway is in Prescott Valley right off 69 and it flows into the Goodwill parking lot. Dewey Classic Cruisers puts on a pretty good show there twice a year, with Big Foot making an appearance etc... I heard 200 cars are already pre registered and they are bringing in some National Guards to do the Anthem and a flag ceremony. Pretty neat deal.

Xplantdad 09-15-2020 05:39 PM

Wow...cool. Maybe we'll meet you up there? Not sure what the wife has planned...LOL

x33rs 09-16-2020 03:08 PM

That would be great Bruce
