1970 Hemi Challenger- The Black Ghost
What a story! |
That is a well done video. I was in awe when I saw it at MCACN a few years back; a wonderful family and a great story.
|
You couldn't make that story up. What a great car and family.
|
Wow!! Great story and really well done video. It was like a Nat Geo or Nova episode. I'm glad to see they didn't tear it down and restore it.
|
Saw this car at MCACN and it is sooooo nice to see this video put together to immortalize this story. OO lived a VERY full life and his son “gets it” regarding this car.!!!:headbang::headbang::headbang:

This is one amazing Video of an Amazing Car Guy and his Amazing Car!
Not ashamed to say....this story made me tear up. This Challenger was the car that Stole the Show at MCACN that year! HANDS DOWN! This Family and Car is worth another Special Invite to MCACN! I vote, YES.....let's get them to return. GQ will be smiling down :) Dan |
I saw that video the other day... killer story and KILLER CAR!

I'll tell you what hit me hard- He said exactly what I can see myself saying to my kids someday if I ever have any....
"Don't give my f***ing car away!" |
I knew that was Dean Herron.....never met him but talked to him enough on the phone...
|
Nevermind the car...What an Amazing man and story. So glad its still in the family
|
Fantastic Story, well done !
I saw this video last week and was in awe.
Godfrey was one Special Man with a special taste in life. The car ..... Awesome. This is the definition of “Unrestored Survivor”, with its aged paint, dents, used interior ..... Perfect. I finally got my wife to watch this video (she’s not much into muscle cars), but she was impressed with the Owner, Son and that Hemi for the terror it’s known for. Chris. |

Finally watched this - awesome video. Among other things, had no idea the backstory on the shaker hoods for Challengers! Very cool family car and story.
|
Just saw the video through a Facebook link. Just finished watching it and was cheering at the end when they put the 2 extra soldiers with GQ on the dash. Very cool story and I hope they keep that car forever.
