Rush Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh, conservative talk radio pioneer, dead at 70

Whether you loved him or hated him, you can't deny his influence on the US. He had an inimitable style that will never be duplicated. I liked him. I think a lot of people didn't listen to his entire broadcasts and only got bits and pieces that were easy to be judged in an unfair light. May he rest in peace.

RIP Rush....

I never listened to Rush, but judging by the people that hated him he was my kind of guy.

Being on the road as a salesperson for 40 years, I listened to talk radio and Rush all the time. He provided many hours of listening enjoyment from the time I found him on air in 1990.

Same here, million miles in cars and planes in a sales/ Mgmt role and really enjoyed his topics and common sense approach, which is lacking in society today, I digress , anyway he kept my energy and hope alive!!
RIP Rush!

Mega dittos. His talent is no longer “on loan from God”. Miss you, buddy.

Great loss, especially what’s going on these days.

I started listening to Rush in 1989 while riding around in a work van. My dad and I always listened to Rush while working on airplanes in the hangar. He will be missed!

Bob, it's ironic you mention listening to Rush while working on airplanes in a hangar. In the early 1990s when I was in college I did line service on small corporate jets and a mechanic I worked with there listened to Rush's show everyday. This is where I was first exposed to him.

I started listening to Rush in November of 88 when I moved my body shop to South Boston. I've been a Ditto head for over 30 years. Rush is an American Icon and a true Patriot to his country. He believed in the American experiment and with limited government that anyone could fulfill their dreams with hard work and determination. Rush always used the phrase Talent on loan from God. Mark Steyn said in an article Talent returned to God. RIP Rush you will be missed by millions.

Here is a perfect representation of the visionary nature of RUSH. By 1992 he was already commenting on the very issues we are discussing today and with the element that is missing today as well - humor.

As a bonus you get all of the vintage commercials too.

I've tuned in to about 20-25 shows over the years, start to finish. I re-watched the Donahue segment and remembered why I always thought Rush was purely about cashing a check. I don't believe this man cared an ounce about the United States.

I would assume that once you've been on welfare that you'll do anything not to go back.

Glad to see this thread stayed up, a Pontiac site I go to once in a while, deleted half of the Rush posts. But they’ll leave up 18 pages of what temp your oil is when you change it. Unreal.

RALLY 02-23-2021 07:38 PM

Rush was an icon on conservative values and believed in the American dream and loved his Country. Trump and Rush had a solid bond. Sean Hannity and Mark Levin were great friends of Rush too.

Probably because oil is more related to what a Pontiac forum is about....
