Awesome pics... bright luster in the USA1 plate gold too
That must be a plate that has the thin metal cover over a fiber backing then.

I saw it in 2019-looks great! |
When i worked at Luby Chevrolet in Boston in 1969 i drove the pace car they had around the area for a few days before it was put in the showroom

Could it be as simple as they took the plates from the 67 and reused them on the 9..?.
Hey, I've driven that exact car...thanks to Charley !:headbang:

Is it my eyes or are there no tailpipes on the car in the last photo?
It sure looks that way, maybe not to interfere with the flags?
I remember seeing one at MCACN , if I remember correctly it was used @ Indy & was an L/89 ....
I don't think I have ever seen a photo with the wheels of the 67 pacer painted Bright Blue.
Had to be done by Chevrolet - does anyone know if the wheel color was spec'd on any of the engineering sheets? |

Lee,
That's a recent picture of a restored car. GM borrowed cars and shot pics. |
Great shot. Clearly shows the wheels were silver. I don't recall seeing blue rally's on any IPC's, so that may just be a lighting thing. Phil will have looked at more of these pictures....
