Another Yenko member on our show this week.
Had a great time talking cars and a few laughs with Chick Renn on our latest podcast!
https://www.jpemerson.com/podcast Another great shoutout to everyone here on the Yenko site who continue to selflessly share knowledge and community throughout the hobby! If you'd like to share your story or just talk cars I'd love to hear from you! JP jpemerson.com |
Chick is a fun guy to chat with!!
I know everybody loves his Camaro, but I am more of a fan of his Green L78 Nova!! Ryan W. |
Chicks a good guy I will have to watch

Great episode. Not a dig but audio seemed off. Might have been my earbuds. Congrats to Chick as he is THE MAN.

Just was listening on the way home and its a great podcast, but I do have one technical comment. You may want to check your mic as it sounds like there are metal coins or something moving around whenever you talk, JP. That's the best way I have to describe it. I don't hear it when the guest is talking. I hear this in just about every podcast so far.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yes, after our first few shows we went to a new “improved” microphone with miserable results. We have since changed that mic again.
Hoping the next ones sound much better. JP |
That was a great podcast!!!
That 65 L79 would have been a kick butt car!!! Especially fast in reverse!!! Ryan W31 |

P.S. yes Ryan, that Chevelle L79 ran and wish I had it back. |
Always a fun discussion with good people!
All- thanks for checking out the show. Unfortunately with the collapse of automotive print media I've had to try something new, thus the podcast. We are still ironing out a few kinks but it seems to be improving I hope. Chick- It was a lot of fun chatting with you and listening to some great stories! The comradery of our hobby and community always astounds me. We've got some great folks coming up in the future also and I really would love to hear from more of you. It's fun, it's easy and all it costs is a little of your time. Thanks again, JP jpemerson.com |
Man ! only wish it was longer ! I could Listin to Chick tell his car stories for hrs , Such a great guy too .Wonder if he has any pics of the 65 L79 car ?

Listen here: https://www.jpemerson.com/podcast Got a story you'd like to share? We're listening! JP |
Listening to Benny Now.. Good dude.
Edit Just finished: One thing I really like about people from sYc going onto the podcast is if you have never met any of these folks you get to understand their personalities and passions.. Adds that additional layer vs just reading letters on a pc screen.. Hope others on the forum do this. |
It's always great speaking with folks on this forum and I am happy to hear that you enjoy getting to know folks you may have exchanged posts with both here on this site and others.
If you'll allow me just a bit of back story, I started what I called my "Power Profile" series years ago which ran in most of the automotive mags. I always felt that while we all loved our cars getting ink and recognition, it was the people behind them that we connected to, met at shows, exchanged info/parts/stories & jabs with. This is what makes the hobby and community fun. The premise of the show is to continue doing just that by allowing folks to share some of their experiences, stories, personality, and of course cars. You don't have to be brand specific to have a passion for the hobby. Thanks for checking us out and welcoming me here. I hope to hear more of your great stories. JP jpemerson.com |
Benny is the best. I've stayed at his log cabin house in the woods. Thanks for the interview
