Estate Sale Listing

I was cruising the estate sales and noticed this.

I'm not affiliated in any way. I just thought maybe somebody might want to get involved. Looks like some interesting stuff.

Holeee crap! Wow, that dude had a lot of "stuff". I am getting to the point where I am less interested in leaving a bunch of stuff behind for my kids to have to sort through. I just had to do this for my parents' estate, although nothing like this. That auction's going to take a while...

Wow, what a collector! Cracker Barrel people will probably be there for that one. I wonder if the state is going to want some of those road signs back.

Dick & Patty had it going on..

Looking at the books and doll collection it looks like a investment strategy but wow! Do your wife and kids a favor and don't leave that to them.

My wife says she is calling the scrap metal man to clean out my buildings when I'm gone, so I'm trying to sell everything before she gets the chance.

kinda sad looking at the, possibly life long, collection that is now ending.

i know my wife will just wood chipper ALL my stuff...hopefully not me though!

It's always a little sad sorting through the remnants and memories of a lifetime. Hopefully this stuff will bring pleasure to others down the road.

This reminds me that I need to clean out the shed and the garage this weekend. ;)

I just hope my wife doesn’t sell my stuff for what I told her I paid......

chevyman0429 05-25-2021 02:38 PM

Personally I mark everything with a price tag with what I paid for it and what I think it’s worth. My kids say it’s all going in the dumpster when I die!

When we had to deal with my parents' stuff, I was shocked at how much some items sold for that I thought were virtually useless. And other stuff that seemed like it had some value to me went unclaimed. Guess that shows what I know.

My wife is WAY too frugal to just throw my stuff away. She wants me to make a list and possible value. That changes too often to rely on. I told her to sell it for whatever someone will pay and use the money for her quilting "hobby". She'll probably live for 20 years past me...

Every time I see a portable dumpster backed into a driveway, I am broken-hearted at wondering what is being lost to the world . . . .

Stuff like that makes me realize just how much of a consumer culture we live in. Throw-away culture too. My dad rubbed off on me in that I am always trying to fix things that break or wear out even when it probably just makes sense to buy a new one because I don't want to be "wasteful". My sister is just the opposite - I used to go over to her place and pick through all the perfectly good "stuff" that she was tossing just because it had something wrong with it that it easily fixable.

Yeah, I thought about that too, but if she decides to leave me I don't want her telling the judge that I've got a million dollars worth of stuff in my shop. :rolleyes2:

Yeah, ouch, that would backfire.

All you old guys who's wives will "throw your stuff away", PLEASE have them call me!!! I (should) have plenty of years ahead and will take the junk off their hands:wink:
