It is a late July built car formerly owned by Max Raffaele who is a member here. Owned now (last I knew) by Jim at Heartbeat City who had it listed for sale north of $200K.

Was Warren Heaps the guy who bought it new?
Warren Heaps bought it new

Thanks, Ralph. Was Warren from Brockton or somewhere else? I'll add the info to the registry.

I can't find a report for it so I may have been told the dealer name by Max.
Maybe Max will see this thread or you can inquire at HBC. You or your friend can also run the VIN through NCRS. |
We do not know the VIN
It is shown above on the HBC website. 124377N254352

My friend has a picture of the car at New England Dragway in 1967 with a trophy on the hood. Also he said the clutch blew up on it one time at NE Dragway
If you can post any old-time pics of the car, many here would enjoy seeing them.
My friend does not have a computer i am going to meet up with him ASAP to get a copy of the photos he has.
How can we find out who has the car now ?
Sounds great! Thanks, Ralph.
Who owns the car now ?
Call Jim at Heartbeat City, explain why you are wanting to know, and maybe he will tell you. The phone number is (586) 226-8811

Max did not live in Ayer, MA. He bought it from a guy who lived there. I'll send you a PM.

My friend that knew the first owner said the clutch blew up in 1967 at New England Dragway and it damaged the sub frame. He said the driver shifted from second back into first instead of third gear. I am still waiting for the photos from him.

I just got a couple of photos from Ralph Spears. This first photo shows Ralph's friend Richard Ingals. Richard drove the car at the drag strip for original owner Warren Heaps, and also worked on it too. The second photo shows all the trophies that the car won at New England Dragway when the car was new.

Looks like a no radio car i do not see an antenna on the front fender
Evidently a later owner added a radio. I do see the rare factory shoulder belts in the original photos that do match up with the car Max owned.
He has another picture while he was adjusting the valves i am waiting for it to be sent to me. He also said when he went to the dealer the car was in the showroom he did not order the car. He bought it off the showroom floor
