What Are You Paying For Gas?

$3.29 for Regular/Chevron

This hurts. A year ago I was paying $1.89.

Mr. Chevy 10-13-2021 11:41 PM

Yep and it's only gonna get worse!! There is one BIG reason for this....But I won't comment any further because if I do this will become a political post.....

Western WI is $3.20. Eastern MN is about the same.
Was paying $2.78 at Sam's club in MN but this week it shot up 10 cents and today another 5 to $2.92
For the past 8 years, I had an '08 HHR that got 27 mpg as a DD, but replaced it with a 2016 CR-V in May that gets 32. Still, my $6.00 SS cost of living raise this year certainly isn't keeping up with the crazy prices for gas, grocery's and building products.

flyingn 10-14-2021 01:16 AM

$3.14 here in south Jersey.

Big Block Bill 10-14-2021 01:32 AM

I’m selling regular for $3.449 a gallon in Elk Grove Village Illinois. I bought a load at the old price last week. Competition is $3.599. Crazy couple of weeks in the gas business. Bill

Lee... You're killing me... LOL

Ontario... $1.34/L X 3.78 (L in US gallon) = $5.06 for Regular

2015 Ram Hemi...127L (33 USG) $160+ to fill with 18-20 MPG (US)

Crush 10-14-2021 01:49 AM

I’m in Cali right now and it’s $4.88!!!

danachevroletfor1967 10-14-2021 02:02 AM

Around here where I live in Northern California I don't think you can fine any gas under$4.50 a gallon. One Chevron station has premium at $4.99.

Lynn 10-14-2021 02:09 AM

Believe it or not, I do not know. I put AVgas in the Z/28 over the weekend. But the pump is not marked for price, and I chose to dispense gas by the gallon rather than the $ amount. So, I pumped 7 gallons (the gauge was on 1/2 full... OK 1/2 empty for you negative guys) so figured I would be safe with a 16 gallon tank. The pump has no auto shut off, so if you pump too much, it just spills on the ground. Guess I could look at the credit card statement to see how much I spent.

It is normally about double the price of pump gas 87. Definitely worth it though. I have about 11.5:1 compression, and can run the timing a bit more advanced on the AVgas. Really wakes it up.

I haven't put gas in Sherri's plug-in hybrid in forever. Last time may have been in mid June when we went to a couple Red Sox games in KC. (BTW, GO SOX!!!!... they are batting .328 AS A TEAM in the post season... hope I didn't just jinx them) If I leave it plugged in over night, we drive to work without using any gas. Then plug it in and we get to the office, and use no gas coming home. We will probably be driving it to MCACN, so at least I will get that old gas out of the tank and have all fresh gas in there. I always use ethanol free, because the E10 and E15 stuff has a shelf life about equal to a piece of meat sitting on the counter.

Will have to look at the signs on the way to work tomorrow.

Regular is $1.33 Cdn. per Litre here today an hour from Toronto = over $4.00 US per US Gallon.
Cost a year ago was 20 percent or so less also 50 years ago, Regular was about 10 Cents per Litre @ 45 Cents a Cdn. Gallon which is roughly 4-1/2 Litres/US Quarts.
Future Gas prices will no doubt worsen as our Governments push to Electrify us w/ added Fuel taxes also Fossil Fuel burning vehicle Licensing and Insurance costs etc...plus lots of BS justification to wash it down with.
:beers:

Filled up for $3.04 a gallon in Cedar Falls, IA this afternoon. Work pays for all my gas in the company car and we get unlimited personal use so its quite a perk to have when gas prices get this high. Filled 69 Grand Prix with ethanol free 91 octane last weekend and it was 3.49 a gallon.

Kwik Trip here, Kwik Star in IA, has the best price for non-oxy but it's $3.90 gallon. Costs $20 to fill a 5 gallon gas can for the lawn care equipment and the JD can eat 2.5 gallons to mow the 1.5 acre of grass. Heading down to the Des Moines area on the 23rd to tour the Dennis Albough collection and was thinking of driving either the '38 or '62, but the price increase may put me back in the CR-V...:frown:

You were in CF and didn't stop in to say hey??

I just filled the DD with 91 non-ethanal at the Cedar Falls Kwik Star for 3.54. Diesel for 3.14. I believe 87 is 2.89?

I recently towed to NC for the Carolina Chevelle Club show at Hendrick. Diesel ranged 3.38 in East TN to 3.64 in IL (of course!). I only fuel at Love's when on the road.

mssl72 10-14-2021 04:49 AM

I paid $4.79 at a Chevron about 1 week ago in my area of LA.:thumbsdown::bs::mad:

AnthonyS 10-14-2021 05:20 AM

^ yep. $4.799 here for 87. I prepaid $40 and it didn’t fill the 2016 HR-V…

$30 used to fill it from 0 with change back.

I stay in Waterloo or Cedar Falls at least once a month Bill, I'll PM you my # and stop by next time I'm in town if you're up for some bench racing.

YenkoYS-199Stinger 10-14-2021 12:39 PM

Diesel here in Texas I have been paying $2.90, up from $1.60 a year ago.

I just returned Monday from our house in Mexico, gas is roughly $19.8- 20.2 pesos a liter up from 17 pesos a year ago. Inflation on fuel in Mexico is not as bad here, but inflation on everything else is.

napa68 10-14-2021 01:13 PM

diesel 3.37gal yesterday
91 non ethanol 4.04gal yesterday
100ll av gas 4.89 last week

Propane is at 2.09 here (we live in a remote area so that tends to be the fuel of choice). I'll place my bets and say the propane will double and diesel will be well above $4 here before this circus levels off.

Don't want to jump into politics, but one knew this was going to happen:thumbsdown:

7TL34 10-14-2021 02:25 PM

I believe that here in the lower mainland of B.C. we have the highest gas prices in North America. I put Chevron 94 in my GTO on Monday at $1.919 CDN per litre. I think regular was about $1.659. I'm afraid to do the math. Dale

olredalert 10-14-2021 02:53 PM

----Premium is around 3.80/3.90 here and filling up my 40 gallon tank in my 93 Suburban is enough to make me gag. The 510 cube big block (570hp/650tq) has unbeliveable pulling power, but unfortunatly needs premium. Translates to around $150! Luckily I only use it occasionally to tow a boat (11,000 lbs). It actually gets better mileage than the original anemic 454. This year I have so much junk to take to MCACN that I'm going to have to take my Subby to Chicago. Stop by our swap space and buy something so I can afford the gas for the ride home,,,LOL!....Bill S

Copo_Cartel 10-14-2021 03:06 PM

Central Ohio is $3.29

ORIGLS6 10-19-2021 05:44 PM

Yesterday in the Springfield area and West Central Hell-Annoy (about an hour north of St. Louis), $3.39 to $3.46 for 87 unleaded, $4.09 for 91 and averaging around $3.39 for Diesel.

x33rs 10-19-2021 08:09 PM

$3.29 a gallon for 91 octane here in Prescott, AZ at some stations. Others charging a bit more.

danachevroletfor1967 10-20-2021 05:45 PM

I never thought I would see it. Our local Chevron station now charges $5.09 a gallon for premium when purchased with a credit card; cash is $4.99.

bcmiller 10-20-2021 05:48 PM

Averaging 2.99 to 3.09 for normal unleaded.

markinnaples 10-20-2021 05:57 PM

$3.29 for regular Naples, FL (SWFL)

X66 714 10-20-2021 08:13 PM

3.29 at Fry's Tucson where I go. Sam's club & Costco are cheaper but don't shop there...Joe

----I don't think I could pull out my wallet to pay cash. It would piss me off too much. I try to forget by just sticking the card in the slot and not looking at anything on the pump with numbers,,,LOL!......Bill S

I've been in NY for the past 10 days, so I haven't stopped by the pumps yet. I can't wait...

Just paid $3.79 for high test for the Trackhawk. LETS GO BRANDON!
Buddy

Lynn 10-21-2021 12:21 AM

Just drove by a gas station (Sherri's car still doesn't need gas) and saw that E10 is $2.89 a gallon here, just North of OKC.

Have no idea what 100% gas costs, but it is available at about 1/2 the stations here.

LT1vette 10-23-2021 02:10 AM

Here's the math converting Canadian to USA....

$1.48/litre X 3.78 (litres in US gallon) =$5.59 Can $$

$5.59 CD converted to USD = .79Cents = $4.42/US gallon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PeteLeathersac 10-23-2021 02:43 AM

Thanks for the actual #'s, I was rounding up w/ averages @ 4x Ltrs. as a US Gallon and 1.25 conversion.
As a kid in the 60's, I remember .37 a Gallon also .41 for years, what's the cheapest others here can recall?:hmmm:
:beers:
