My new toy, 1968 Z28 14,500 miles!
This is my new toy, a original 14,500 mile 68 Z28 with the original paint and interior. I was fortunate enough to talk to the original owner, he told me he sold the car in the early 90’s. Up until then, he said the car was never in any weather and only got wet once! He told me the story about being at a restaurant and it started to drizzle, he waited until the payment was dry before he left.
The car is pretty unique and fully documented with the original window sticker and two dealer invoices. It was ordered with stripe delete dash paint code, deluxe interior, tach/gauges, rally sport package and a vinyl top. The original vinyl top still has both original plastic strips in the gutters. I also received a set of original tires that are on the car! One of the interesting things about the car, is under the cowl was still painted white in preparation for the white stripes. The lack of stripes and early 302 fender emblems really makes this car a sleeper. Unfortunately the engine has been out of the car due to the timing chain gear breaking. Even though all the casting numbers and date codes match, I am unsure at this time if the engine is original. The engine now has a all original 1968 GM crossram with matching 4210 carburetors, original GM Kustom headers and a all original GM transistor ignition set up. I did received the original, carb, intake, distributor, smog set up with the car. The front plate is a original GM pre-production advertising and car show plate. I am looking forward to having a lot of fun with this unassuming crossramed sleeper Z! |

I have been trying to buy this car for a little over a year. Doug Perry knows that I am found of 68 Z’s and turned me on to the car. I would like to send a special thanks to Doug!

Wow, great car with great paperwork. I like the day 2 changes and I’d gladly live with those.

Did this car come from Reynoldsburg, OH and did you buy it from the late owners widow?

Very nice! Transistorized ignition too?

Paul it was a pleasure helping out. Your car came from a great home to it’s current great home. Your original paperwork speaks for itself and you can’t dispute original owners that are still alive and original paperwork. Go enjoy that cool Hot Rod.

This original picture also has the backward “P” on the passenger side.

That looks like the same color as a 1967 Tahoe Turquoise. I know digital photos and computer monitors can be deceiving. Is it the same as a 67 TT?
